Time for Pakistan to pull out of OIC, says Rabbani

The hawkish Rabbani strikes again with yet another anti Arab rant.

Funny part is, his party ppp were saying after Feb 27 that fm should attend OIC fm meet up when Qureshi pulled himself out because of Indian presence.

. .
ISLAMABAD: It was high time for Pakistan to pull out of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as it was worse than the United Nations, former Senate chairman Mian Raza Rabbani said on Friday.

Taking part in a discussion on Kashmir in the Senate, he said the “bubble of an Islamic Ummah had burst” and Pakistan should reappraise its relationship with the Ummah.

Recalling that the OIC had failed to act whenever Pakistan or any other Muslim country faced a difficult situation, he referred to the 1990s genocide in Bosnia and the ethnic cleansing in Palestine. “The world has become too profit oriented and focused on economic interests.”

He cited as examples a $15 billion deal signed recently between Aramco, the Saudi-owned oil giant, and India’s largest conglomerate Reliance, conferment of the UAE’s highest civil award on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and signing of MoUs during the first-ever visit to Bahrain by an Indian premier last week to drive home the point that Muslim countries were too busy minding their own business to bother about issues like Kashmir.

Mr Rabbani said that parliament needed to inform all human rights organisations about the uninterrupted curfew and the state of human rights in India-occupied Kashmir.

“Pakistan should move an emergency motion at the general assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in October and raise violation of human rights at the IPU’s meeting in Maldives next month,” Mr Rabbani suggested. He said parliament should try to convene special meetings of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and the Asian Parliamentary Association to raise awareness about the Kashmir issue.

“Parliament should prepare a list of all international treaties and covenants signed by India and inform the world how it’s violating them today in Kashmir,” he added.

The former Senate chairman said Pakistan should ask the UN Commission on Human Rights to convene a meeting on the matter and call upon the world body to send observers to Kashmir. “We should now focus on Asia and end our alignment with Washington.”

In his speech, Senator Rehman Malik said crimes against humanity committed by the Indian forces made Narendra Modi liable to trial by the International Criminal Court. “I have already prepared a petition for filing with the ICC.”

He said the revocation of Articles 370 and 35-A by the Indian parliament was a violation of UN resolutions. “It is unfortunate that the UN has failed to implement its own resolutions on Kashmir,” the senator observed.

Mushahid Hussain Sayed of the PML-N underlined the need to have a three-pronged strategy to deal with the challenge posed by India’s irresponsible actions as, ironically enough, New Delhi’s draconian measures offered an opportunity as well. “India’s claim of being a democratic and secular state stands exposed now. I have read 30 articles on the issue, 27 of which were against India,” Senator Mushahid added.

He suggested that the strategy with regard to India should now be “Modi-specific and expose him as fascist and racist”.

Mushahid Hussain observed that the nation must keep its own house in order to ensure that the international community took its stance on major issue seriously. “It’s unthinkable that on one hand we have turmoil, instability, repression and division at home and, on the other, we run an effective foreign policy. We need a healing touch at home first.”

The senator called for immediate release of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, former president Asif Ali Zardari and two lawmakers belonging to the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement. All ‘political prisoners’ should be released as well, he added.

Leader of the House in the Senate Shibli Faraz, while responding to Mushahid Hussain’s remarks, said there were no political prisoners in the country. He noted that all parties were on one page on the Kashmir issue. He asked the chair to send the summary of the proceedings and proposals made by members to the prime minister and the Foreign Office.

The upper house unanimously passed a resolution condemning the annexation of occupied Kashmir by India, describing it as a BJP-RSS move to change the region’s demography in furtherance of their racist and fascist agenda. The resolution, moved by Shibli Faraz, said the annexation was an attempt to undermine the UN Charter, the international law and UN Security Council resolutions.

OIC or no OIC, Pakistan is in no position to dictate our will. I mean this rona dhona it self sufficient to show how weak and fragile we have become. In last, its army and atomic bomb, and a big F to everyone else.
From Bhuttos times onwards we placed our foot on every face, who could have made Pakistan powerful. People either died or scaped from Pakistan.
At the moment, I will say, if we must get Kashmir, then let's creat a controlled chaos of a degree that we can handle or we are good at, and let's handle that militarily. And this time, don't worry about anything. And by any thing, I mean anything(but just don't use the bomb).

This is the double standard here. And I don't think anyone who is a Kemalist can be considered a Muslim.

You can think as much bs as you want, and you better be careful who you call disbeliever or non Muslim, because only Allah knows who is truly a rejector and who is a misguided person. It is not up to you to judge someone.

Have a nice day, troll. :)

I don't like rabbani and his party. But he is right on one account that OIC is worse than UN. We can't quit it because good for nothing mulah and Arab lovers will start protesting like mad cows.
We have to make policies which are in the best interest of Pakistan not any other country. This Muslim Umah drama should end once and for all. They are good for nothing.
Productive alliances are needed.

I recently got banned for noting that Mr. Mustafa "Kemal" Ataturk can be shown in his quotes directly to have hated Muslims and Islam, that he tried to destroy Islam and Muslims in Turkey in many ways, including turning thousands of Masjids into museums and, trying to change the name of Allah, trying to put Christian church-like service in the masjid, and persecuting Muslims, killing, torturing and vanishing 10s of thousands.

And the reaction at PDF was to ban me. I didn't use foul language but only asked for us to be able to give our view. But this was not tolerated... no Muslims cannot give their views, while the secular godless can attack us, insult us as they wish.

This is the double standard here. And I don't think anyone who is a Kemalist can be considered a Muslim.
Kemalists are 100 times better Muslims than you and people just like you.
You and people like you are just Jewish dogs who hate Kemal Ataturk just because of that he fcked your masters in the azz and kick them out off Anatolia. So your hatred comes from that. From your azz pain.

We Kemalists are ready to do it again anytime and anywhere...

Anything can be worse than UN?

.
He himself is an idiot.
He is right what is a use to be sitting in organization which is only do condenming and in background giving awards to butcher of muslim islam prhabits two face thinking oic dont deserve to call itself islamic any more

. .
OIC needs to be reformed if not scrapped and replaced with an EU style Islamic Union.

Lets be honest the days of caliphates, empires and kingdoms are all but over in the Islamic World.

We are better off with cooperation, having a single currency also free trade and travel.

Islamic World has now evolved into nation states where everybody has their own culture, language and values along with following a different madhab and you also have different sects.

Lets evolve and adapt hopefully the OIC will become more useful if not it should be reformed.

Mustafa Kemal is dead get over it and stop dwelling upon the past. He did his deed that was to carve out an independant nation from the ashes of a dead empire. Critice his policies or whatever it is his a human afterall.

You dont get no where by insulting a man especially the one that has passed away from this earth and left its legacy on the country and in history.

Without Ataturk the Ottoman Empire would still have collapsed by the way Sultan Abdulhamid II even during his rule accepted the empire was going to collapse even many higher ups to local population believed in this fatalism that the state was collapsing.

former Senate chairman Mian Raza Rabbani

His hate and bagotry that he holds, will not be forgotten. Interestingly, Rabbani has to say all that to serve his political masters. These moles need to be dealt accordingly. Pakistan shall not pull out of any platform which is in-fact the wish of our enemies so that we may become alien to the international entities. Don't we know who wants to score multiple points at once - Damage the OIC & let be alone as well.

.
Pakistan should not make decisions based due to some bharat appeasing countries. Let then have their honey moon with bharat and let then learn the Iranian way.

.
Parasite Raza Rabbani and Peoples Party were the ones who were successful inbringing the Yemen resolution in 2015 and damaging our relationship with Saudi and UAE. UAE warned of retaliation which they did since then, has gone rogue and now pursuing their own interests in Yemen breaking off with Saudis. This senator needs to answer how he is trying to damage alliances of PAkistan which it needs most at this time.
Pakistan has nothing to offer to GCC apart from military ties and these thugs have been trying to isolate Pakistan with every ally in the tregion, indirectly helping India. These parasites almost killed our relatiionship with GCC if not for PTI and Pakistan Army who had to do massive damage control.
Mr. Rabbani has targeted Turkey and Erdogan also. Rabbani's parliamentary record to destroy Pakistan's relationships should be probed.
We all have condemned UAE for them awarding Modi but read this article from 2015 what Mr. Rabbani did to affect our ties with UAE on Yemen issue:
