Tillerson hints at Air strikes in Pakistan; will the US find...

.
The main reason why the US is in Afghanistan is to help work towards the de-nuclearization of Pakistan.
The main guess here is, that the pro-Israeli elements of the US government perceive the Pakistani nukes as a threat to Israel.

.
let me be the devils advocate here.why can't we act against the haqani network why are these guys still sacred and we still classifying terrorist as good or bad even after all we went through in last 12 years .

Both of these arguments were presented by @Irfan Baloch. I am simply repeating them, here.

1. ISPR representative said CENTCOM commanders and the American senators were offered to choose time and location, where they will be taken so they can themselves verify American allegations of Pakistan running safe havens and training facilities. (Source: Talk-show, ARY) - To me, it doesn't seem like the offer of a guilty conscience.

2. The Americans have been carrying out drone strikes freely, for a long time now. So, why do these "safe havens" still exist? Why aren't they taken care of?

Relax, don't get your panties in a twist.

According to sources, Pakistan has told US Ambassador David Hale that neither was Islamabad dependent on Washington for its defence system nor did its economy need American financial assistance. Pakistan plays its trump card in dealing with Trump

Responding to the invective, the army chief said: "We are not looking for any material or financial assistance from the US, but trust, understanding and [an] acknowledgement of our contributions." Pakistan wants the US's trust, not its financial assistance: COAS

Here are the sources, read them slowly. As for the "we can make things very messy", what do you expect me to say, when my country is being threatened even after fighting the war in Afghanistan for nearly two decades now? When the multi national coalition can visit "Waziristan" in Pakistan without any problems, but can't go to the Helmund province - the ISAF's area of responsibility which is under Taliban control. Enough evidence regarding the performance of both parties?

And get off the high horse, I can quote similar passages from your history, when you sided with similar groups to further your national interest.
And yet despite such statements by your army and government, they BOTH readily accept aid in all kinds - economic as well as military.

This is to say that there is a chasm between what your military and government say and what they do.

Here is an example when Government refuses aid. It translates into an action- that of actually refusing the aid.

First point : the Aid.

Aid is a drug. When you start to receive it, you cannot think other way. Like when you work and got a salary, you like the salary you receive at the end of the month, and you never think that you can be the one who give the salary to the employee.. Look at history how gorays corrupted red indians, the natives of America...
this I cannot disagree with.

.
I think Pakistan should openly say to the USA. We will work with you. Show us where these terrorists are as if they are in pakistan its in our interest to go after then. Find out how they got their data and then coordinate airstrikes with them. This will call the Americans out.
This is a good post.

.
If US launches an air strike on Pakistan without being challenged or facing counter strikes by the Pak armed forces, then I would totally support a 90% reduction in our defence budget and for Pakistan to give up it's nukes.

If they make us look like a banana republic once again with no issue over sovereignty then let's stop acting otherwise and bend over for our masters.

Pakistan army chief is seeking "US trust", unfortunately, anything is possible.

i am not asking this for the american sake but for our future's sake how long are we going to defend the good terrorists and when are we going to change our mindset.
it doesn't matter who is asking if it is the right thing (which i think it is) why don't we just do it?

Are you seriously that ill informed? Or are you just plain stupid? There is no such thing as a good Terrorist. And one man's terrorist is usually another man's hero! The American forefathers were terrorists to the British, the British were terrorists to the French and so on.

Haqqani network is a group of fighters who are fighting invading forces illegally occupying their country, how can that be terrorism? The American Government is the real terrorist, they have killed millions of Muslims and have caused harm to hundreds of millions of Muslims from Iraq to Syria, Afghanistan to Yemen.

And just for the record, and your understanding, Mullah Omer led Talibaan, the real Talibaan of which the Haqqani network is a part, denounced TTP and denounced attacks on Pakistan.

.
Its more about posing anti-US than supporting Pakistan. We have seen similar reaction in Syria too.

Krait, if you don't want to see something, trust me, none can make you see it. But if you are willing to look, check how many things have been happening in that context, despite the Indian protest. Be it the supply of RD-93, sale of Mi-35 Hind-E or the joint military exercise recently. Research, mate, research!

. .
Pakistan can't fight US. Only way Pakistan can save it's face is to pursued US to continue it's drone strike and intelligence sharing with Pakistan to destroy common enemy.
oh but we can. All we need is to grow a pair.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

1. The statement was recent, wait for it to be implemented.
2. Unless of course you define "aid" as payment for acquiring/using resources and/or services, coalition support fund isn't aid. Islamabad hasn't received a single cent of free money since '01. What it has received dwarfs in comparison to what it has lost, in fighting an American war.

@Mian Babban Your thoughts on this would be most appreciated. What should Pakistan do about -

(i) USA
(i) Afghanistan.

What policy response you think is way forward? I ask you because you are on the ground and near ground zero.

. .
Go all out after source base of airstrike
