More likely that there will be nothing anytime soon, referendum after all is not binding to separate KRG from Iraq, has little impact. I think after Hawija operation it is more decisive what willh appen

Something like this gets cooked up every few decades by the West. It never succeeds however because the plans on the table don't match the realities of the region. Sadly, it'll go on as long as the Kurds continue to allow themselves to be used as a destabilizing element in the Middle East. The only effect it achieves is it keeps the Kurdish regions in all 4 countries involved relatively underdeveloped because no one wants to invest in a war/terror zone.

Unfortunately, very few Kurds realize this.

When is Turkey launching ground offensive , Turkey really needs to flex it's muscle as a Regional power. Kurds are just being used as Pawns for global players who stay in the shadows and do not show their true face

  • Turkey should enforce and protect it's own border
  • Iran should solidify it's own region
  • Iraq Military should retake their own region / land
  • Syrian forces with Russia should claim back any lost region

The bombing in Turkey earlier on , are similar in nature when we hosted refugees from Afghan area

The only solution to fix is a Ground Offensive supported by full Airforce might

Turkey is definitely entertaining a military option if it comes to that, as we'll do whatever is necessary to ensure national security and protect Turkish interests. But for the time being, it's legally an internal Iraqi issue, even though the Baghdad government is vehemently against it too. They've already declared that they won't recognize the result of the referendum as it's not Iraqwide.

.
Well this referendum thing will likely start off as a Iraq thing but , eventually the groups will keep getting more and more weapons / international spy agency supports and more lethal weapons and it will escalate ...

Their proposed maps are all over the net

kurdistan-map.png

Literally trying to steal 45% of Turkey
Trying to Steal up to 50% of Syria, Israel may attempt a 5% steal close to golan heights
Trying to Steal 15% of Iraq
Trying to steal 5% of Iranian land

Their demand is not just Northern Iraq they are really after more and that is why Israel is fueling them up from sides

Kurdistan is landlocked and doesn't stand a chance against powerful enemies in all 4 sides even with all the help they're getting. Dumb Barzani is being played for peanuts and risking total annihilation. No one who gets in bed with the Israelis comes out ahead in the long run. Turkey has learned this the hard way in the past.

Do you live in Iraq? What is the atmosphere there? You think Iraq is gonna start a military offensive? What does Turkmens think? I mean there are a lot of Turkmen settlements at south and north of Kirkuk, as well as a sizeable minority in the city itself. Are they in position to take up arms?

What does the US warning to Barzani means : " There will be irreversible consequences for the Kurds ".

Last minute : Turkey closed land boarder to Northern Iraq .(Habur)

Airspace closure will be next step. Then ? Operation Dawn ?
