AMMAN — Jordanian-Azeri relations have improved significantly over the past years, with the two sides signing around 40 cooperation agreements in various fields, Azerbaijan’s embassy in Amman said on Thursday.

In a statement issued on the occasion of Azeri President Ilham Aliyev’s October 9 re-election, the embassy highlighted Jordanian-Azeri cooperation.

A joint government committee comprising high-ranking officials from both countries, which held its first meeting in Amman in 2008, is scheduled to meet in Azerbaijan in April next year to discuss means to enhance bilateral trade exchange, the statement said.

Amman and Baku also have ambitious plans to expand their cooperation in education, culture and other fields to serve the interests of their peoples, according to the embassy.

Several Azeri students are currently enrolled in Jordanian universities, while there are around 700 Jordanians studying in Azerbaijan.

Stressing that Jordan and Azerbaijan share similar views on several political and international affairs, the embassy statement commended the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve security and stability in the Middle East.

No, I mean the fact that your country's GDP PPP is twice less than that of Iran. To such extent that you have to import Israeli sewer water in order to have some electricity, or live by the gifts of others.

Is that why Iranians are starving and lining up in 1 2 km line to get subsidized bread? :toast_sign:
It seems that your malnutrition in your home country still have it's effects on your brain cells, sewer water don't generate electricity.

My friend, this is where we take our pride from, we are the 4th poorest country in water with almost no resources and yet managed to be among the top in the region and 3rd world countries, while with all your abundant resources are at the bottom unless you are one of those who eats what farce TV feeds them..

Top in the region in what exactly? Your GDP PPP is less than that of Sri Lanka, Angola and Bhutan. Give me a break.

Your economy faced a setback since the flood of refugees from the Palestinians to Iraqis, and now Syrians.

Hmmm, still having the nerve to show up. It seems your malnutrition has made you miss allot in your math classes, GDP calculation is based on country's population and inflation. We are ahead of you in education, health care, infrastructure and IT
