Ticonderoga, Arleigh Burke vs Slava, Sovremenny (or Udaloy)

I hope you are trolling.... Sovremenny is crap... Udaloy is slightly better.... and the Kashin is complete junk...

The only thing the Ruskie Navy has going for it are their sub's, which are indeed of good quality.

You will not like the results of the Moskits,Yakhonts and Klub missiles vs US ships.

Is that all a surface-ship is? A missile to missile comparison?

Besides, it's going to be difficult for the Ruskies to do anything with them, seeing as how they don't even have one destroyer-displacement class commission since the Communist-era.

Maybe they can restart production of the already outdated Udaloy?? :bunny:

That will remain to be seen.Your own navy fears the russian sea skimmers .Nugh said.

Suuuure! We are so afraid of Communist-era weapons that have not been properly maintained, and an economy 1/10th our size.

At least the russians don't buy 400$ toilet seats like you guys.

Navy lacks defense against Klub:
Navy Lacks Plan to Defend Against `Sizzler' Missile (Update1) - Bloomberg

But the high speed of the 3M82 "Mosquito" missiles reduce the maximum theoretical response time for the defending ship to 25 to 30 seconds. This short response time makes jamming and countermeasures very difficult, and firing missiles and quick-firing artillery even more difficult.

Nugh said. Read this and cry while buying 400$ toilet seats.

That article was in 2007. Ship missile defense, for US, have progressed much since then. For example...

U.S. Army and USAF Test Systems To Intercept Anti-Ship Cruise Missiles | Ottawa Citizen
August 13, 2013

During the July 17 test, the Army’s JLENS acquired and tracked an anti-ship cruise missile surrogate and passed targeting data to an Air Force F-15E via Link 16, enabling the fighter pilot to fire an AIM-120C7 AMRAAM, culminating in the weapon intercepting the target, meeting all test objectives.

Only $400? Given how corrupt communist militaries are, $4000 for a toilet seat would still be chump change.

Okay did it intercept a sizzler missile...noob... Call me when you can demonstrate that capability and corruption please look at your interest swap manipulation corruption which dwarfs us gdp and is related heavily to the libor scandal.

Udaloy-II Would won 3 round:

1. Radar Фрегат-МА/Fregat-MA 3D 300 km vs AN/SPY-1D 3D 185km
2. Anti Ship P-270 3М80МВE 120-240km Mach 2,5 vs RGM-84D/G/L 124-140km Mach 0,85
3. Speed Udaloy-II 35 knots vs DDG-51 30 knots

DDG-51 won 2 round
4. Displacement: Udaloy 7,570 tons full load vs DDG-51 full approx 8,900 long tons (9,000 t) but DDG-51 had VLS mk41 launcher (61 cell) => Udaloy Larger RCS, easy to detect. Designed Klinok VLS was not as VLS mk41 but can also reduce the RCS, but I think it's not much, a DDG-51 class are designed to reduce the RCS
5. DDG-51 has all 90 missiles than Udaloy-II is only 74 missiles

Russian Ships are a treat to watch.

You may not like the results of US ships EW on your missile guidance, or the effect of Nulka decoys, or of various hardkill systems (US eyes see farther out than those of most other navies, and they have weapons reach to back it up: this off sets advantages of high speed (reduced reaction time) to an extent. That is, assuming your launch platforms actually managed to detect and launch....

That will remain to be seen.Your own navy fears the russian sea skimmers .Nugh said.
Clearly, only a fool would not do so. What does your navy fear?

Did you with your 2012 join date and 343 messages call Gambit1, whojoined 2009 and has 14,795 posts a noob?

Beg pardon, noob, but systems like Goalkeeper (1997) have been destroying supersonic target for quite some time. As have ESSM (skimmer 2000-2002, high diver 2013) and ASTER (2012).

Admiral Gorshkov-class Project 22350 vs DDG-51 Flight III/DDG-122/123 Arleigh Burke-class

Project 22350:

SKR22350SergeiGorshkov.png

-Displacement: 4500t
-Speed: 30kts
-Gun: A-192M, KPV
- CIWS: 2x Kashtan
-Radar AESA (maybe as radar AESA Zhuk-AE for T-50, MiG-35)
-RAM, design reduce RCS (stealth tech)
-SAM: 128 missile. Eg: 9M100 (S-350), 32 9M96E (S-400)
-Ashm: 16 anti ship 8xP-800, 8x3M54 missile

DDG-122/123:

DDG-122%20Arliegh%20Burke%20Flight%20III.gif

-Displacement: 9500t
-Speed 30kts
-Gun: Mark 45, M242
-CIWS: 2x Phalanx
-Radar AESA (maybe same radar for F-22 APG-77)
-RAM, design reduce RCS (stealth tech)
-SAM: 96 missile. Eg: SM-2/3/6
-Ashm: unknown. Because the DDG-51 class is part of the Carrier battle group , DDG-51 class in the future no needed Harpoon anti-ship, anti-ship mission for the F/A-18

Long Range Anti-Ship Missile
(LRASM) is an antiship missile being developed by DARPA for the US Navy. LRASM is designed to be compatible with the Mk 41Vertical Launch System. The LRASM is based on the AGM-158B JASSM-ER. For surface launches, LRASM will be fitted with a modified Mk 114 jettison-able rocket booster to give it enough power to reach altitude. On August 27, 2013, Lockheed conducted the first flight test of the LRASM.On September 17, 2013, Lockheed launched an LRASM Boosted Test Vehicle (BTV) from a Mk 41 VLS canister. On November 12, 2013, an [air launched] LRASM scored a direct hit on a moving naval target on its second flight test. In January 2014, Lockheed demonstrated that the LRASM could be launched from a Mk 41 VLS with only modified software to existing shipboard equipment

Warhead 1,000 lb blast-fragmentation penetrator
Operational range 370 km (230 mi)+
Launch platforms: Mk41 VLS (= ships), aircraft (F/A-18E/F, F-35, B1), submarines.

Go figure what Burke's will carry.

No Change game !

How fast of LRASM ? When used for ships, it will have a reduced load range.

P-800 can up to 500km max range
