multiple news articles about possible water diversion plans. Besides water there is the added benefit of it being a HUGE make work project. Canals, great walls, bridges, roads, dredging up islands...keep people bz.

Nothing controversial in that - China has every right to build a dam in their territory. We don't have any kind of water sharing treaty with China - so it's not like India has any say in that. What China should do is inform India as to when they are building or releasing water in 'good faith' as neighbours and we should prepare accordingly to improve our hydroelectricity generation in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
