Jaisalmer: Three Pakistani boys, aged between 12 and 14 years, were held on Tuesday by BSF near the border here in Rajasthan after they crossed over into India apparently while looking for their missing cattle.

The boys identified themselves as Salim, Sajan and Saaval and said they trespassed the border while searching for their missing cattle, BSF Inspector General (Rajasthan) B R Meghwal said.

"Nothing objectionable was recovered from their possession," he told PTI.

The IG said intelligence agencies were questioning the children and a decision about them will be taken only after the initial interrogation gets over.

The boys were found in Kuria Beri village in Jaisalmer district after they intruded through Kishangarh area this morning.

They were nabbed following a complaint from the villagers, BSF sources said.

BSF was holding talks with Pakistan Rangers and trying to send them back to their country after the due official formality, the sources said.

Three Pakistani boys held in Jaisalmer, to be sent back home | Zee News

Jaisalmer: Three Pakistani boys, who were held by BSF near the border here in Rajasthan after they crossed into the Indian territory, will be sent back to their country by tomorrow, an official said on Wednesday.

"Pakistan Rangers have been informed about the matter and they (boys) would be sent back today or tomorrow depending upon the meeting with them," BSF IG B R Meghwal told PTI today.

The boys identified themselves as Salim, Sajan and Saaval and said they trespassed the border while while searching for their missing cattle, he said.

The juveniles, aged between 12 and 14 years, were caught by villagers near Kishangarh area of the district yesterday and were handed over to the Border Security Force which has decided to hand over the boys to Pakistani rangers.

"They children entered into Indian territory from under fencing by digging land. During the interrogation, they said they were searching for missing cattle. The children told us that they had a fear that the herd owner would beat them therefore they made all efforts just to search the cattle," the official said.

They slept near the border area after trespassing the border and were roaming in the Kishagarh area when they were nabbed.

"Nothing objectionable object found from their possession. They were interrogated jointly by intelligence agencies after which it was decided to send them back to their country," he said.

Any intruder caught in the area is handed over to the local police for further interrogation but the children are with the BSF as they would be sent back.
