Three Pakistani movies stood out in 2014

Pakistani movies leave Indian movies behind in ingenuity and script. We just need good infrastructure of cinemas and production houses. Ban all Indian media for good, give breathing space to your own media and let them take full benefits of a 200 million strong market.

Lol, what Indian movies do you know of?? Bollywood cheapsticks?? Or the South Indian 'Enna Rascala' films???

Good luck to Pakistani film industry. The country definetly has the talent, but needs someone to guide it to its potential.

Probably if there are more friendly connections between the countries in terms of movies, Indian technicians could help out their counterparts at places where they are lagging.

i liked the photo i posted of mehwish in the first page because her chubby cheeks spoke of sensuality... but your taste seems to be sharp features and any white skin, regardless of beauty.

My friend we have a different type of cinema as compared to india.. apart from the cheesy "Namaloom Afraad" all the new movies speak for themselves... be it Waar,Bol,Khuda K Liye,Zinda Bhaag,Dukhtar,021 etc or the upcoming movies like Moor (Mother),Kaptaan,Kolachi,Gidh,Hijrat,Jalaibe,Yalgaar,Kites Grounded,Maalik,Mah e Meer,Swarangi or Badal

Because our own died thanks to zia... after him the proffessional people left... and the industry was run by smugglers etc who used it to turn their black money into white and so on.... but its coming back... and its being called the "revival" of Pak cinema...

Production wise I agree, Pakistani film makers have a lot to learn to build the immersion. But this also comes down to budget which has a huge impact on overall quality of the 'look'.

Story wise Pakistani movies are leap years ahead of Bollywood with its singing and dancing pantomime. I am not looking for attention seeking movies, I am looking for deep stories which will get me thinking.

If Bollywood can cut out the singing and dancing and create a stunning story, they can achieve so much with their budgets. I hope they do so in future.

Dirty brown complexion (not olive brown or mocha brown or cappuccino brown which is Pakistani)

bud bud ding ding accent

Shaggy hair which they obviously straighten

Extreme use of skin whitening cream with no effect

Pull up a list of the 100 greatest movies ever made and watch them then lets talk good cinema.

What I am so glad and relived to hear is Pakistani film makers will be taking the reality based approach. Budgets will increase and so will acting skill levels. Lets have this discussion in 5 years time.
