You obviously have no clue about the basic beliefs of Buddhism. Not only does it say your ethnic identity is a made-up illusion, it also say your body, your hands, your feet, your country, etc, are all a big fake delusional image that you need to forget about.
So don't you see the irony of you saying "CCP needs to respect the Tibetan identity and religion"?.
My argument was against your claim that the DL is sacred and needs to return to Tibet before all issues can be resolved. I say he is a phony from a religious point of view.
I doubt the root of the present dispute is due to oppression or starvation or whatever the western media says. I live outside China and have seen these free-Tibet activism. From what I've seen, I can say the root of it all is their desire (see the irony again?) for a fully independent Tibetan state.
But since you rightly said it yourself that an independent Tibet state is not possible in the 21st century, there's no point in debating further.
