Three more Pantsirs were destroyed by Turkish drones in Libya within 24h

i think verba manpads are enough for defending against drones but why russia sold such large number of panstir instead of cheap manpads explains that they have sold their crap to the arabs and earned huge money,I think many of these systems are not real but only models presented at parades which are lacking necessary components for proper operations

Most of This Pantsirs came from UAE and they brought them years ago...
PS’ In theory Pantsirs were much more effective against slow moving targets as we can see in practice this wasn’t true...

.
They were hitted while radars are active and systems are running. Moreover, hitted by a tactical drone which is carrying only 20kg/30kg ammunitions.
come on even 2kg ammunition is enough for a pantsir.

1 Radar station
was it a radar station like the ones we see in airports or a radar belonged to an air-defense system like S-125?

.
Until now !
15 Pantsir S1
1 Krasukha EW vehicle
1 Radar station
4-5 Not-revealed Russian SAM systems (In Syria)

8 Russian Pantsir S1
7 LNA Pantsir S1

Confirmed!

They were delivered between 2009 and 2013

Whether the number of Pantsirs destroyed or the manner in which they were destroyed (active vs off-duty) are correct or not, one thing is for sure, the world has waken up to the reality of drones. From the Iranian attack on Abaqia to these Turkish use of drones, this is now obvious. This should show people not to be stuck in a fixed perception of how wars should be fought. It was not long ago that I used to see people writing off drones, but now we can see how militaries resort to them much more than they do with the classic fighter jets. Going forward, this will also be the case for A2A missions.

Drones are suitable for limited scale conflicts say in Libya or Syria where there are only a few men and few machines on the battlefield.

Larger drones are bigger RCS. Might not have the success as smaller TB2.

AKINCI will carry SOM cruise missile so you don’t need to get closer to your target unlike TB2... So a 1 ton payload UCAV will be more effective...

Larger drone fly higher , carry longer range weapons and have better targeting system so they can engage it outside the range of pantsir.
the problem with pantsir as shown in syria is its more than 90% failure in destroying , glyde bombs and cruise missiles. there is a flaw with pantsir that must be answered or it will be nothing but targets for anybody who care , honnestly I wonder why turkey care about it , isn't there more intresting target out there ?

Egypt has MiG-29M and Rafale which can make mincemeat out of larger drones.
