Srinagar: Three militants were killed on Sunday as Army foiled an infiltration bid near Line of Control in Tangdhar sector of Kashmir.




"The infiltration bid was foiled in the wee hours today as a group of heavily armed terrorists were crossing the LoC," an army official said. This is the second infiltration bid by militants in Tangdhar sector of Kupwara district?within a week.

Three militants have been killed while the operation is still in progress, the official said.

The bodies of the militants have been recovered along with three weapons.

"A contact was established with the heavily-armed militants at around 4.30 AM, leading to day-long operation," he said.

Three soldiers and a militant were killed in a failed infiltration bid by militants on May 25.

Idealy when infiltrating into Indian Kashmir its a good idea to turn off all radio wireless communication and operate in silence as the Indian army can listen for chatter and narrow down locations. So something like a pigeon or hawk while mid evil is a lot better option. Remember OBL and a lot of terrorists are caught because they use cell phones or wireless devices. A lot of taliban have been taken out by drones because they used cell phones.
