Karachi: 1500hrs PST - Due to a threat alert issued by sensitive authorities that a potential terrorist attack is suspected to target infrastructure around the port authority of Karachi, security has been increased - emergency funds have been released to upgrade or repair CCTV cameras, movement of all non-essential personnel will be restricted, strict checks will be conducted of all personnel and essential visitors to the port.

Increased security and checkposts have been established along Napier Mole Road and Jackson Market, Asim road.

Thank you for posting this. I believe they need to focus heavily on protecting the Chinese also. CPEC has become a critical target. There was a blast in Diamir (not very far rom Diamir Bhasha dam site). The enemy has shown it's cruel, ugly face again and they want to deny Pakistan it's growth through CPEC. We ALL know India considers the CPEC a threat to it's national security. So we need to make sure these projects and people working on these projects have very high security and protection. It's time we stick together but it's sad that one big party continues to play "main na monon". You question where their loyalty really is.

There was a protest at Gawader also, those few hundred people also asked the "Chinese to leave". There is money being spent on our politicians and political party's to go against what's best for Pakistan and our poor people are selling out sadly.
