What is Rigveda ?

Its a Holy book for the followers of......Sanatan Dharm (calling it Hindu would result in a circular debate)

Well, we are right. There was no "india" back then. Modern day republic of india was created by the British in 1947. The name "india" comes from the Indus river in Pakistan. indian's stole the name of a Pakistani river for their Country.

Pakistanis; please take pride in the fact that the "indian Ocean" is named after our river. Please take pride in the fact that our enemy has taken/stolen the name of our river for their identity.

Do as you please --- even ask UN to do a 'F2' and rename your country India.

Exactly, I wasn't referring to extremists in india ( that deserves it owns separate thread)but JUI which was formed in india and they were the same people who called Pakisatn "kafiristan" and all that because their beloved india to remain intact. Fateh do some research before spewing out wild accusations.

JUI supported Pakistan, those who did not support Pakistan where the JuH or Jamiat-ulema i Hind

The principle factor seprating the too being that Deoband and associated scholars by far all opposed the two nation theory or creation of a seprate state on religious lines because it had no basis in Quran in their knowledge.

What is more important is that the JUI after the creation of Pakistan did not have any major political role until Zia started politicising religion in a big way and really corrupted groups like JUI and JI which has become what they have become today.

To even begin to correct the path is to discredit this deviant idea of using Islam for political purposes and implementing Islam by using laws and top down approach.

Islam is to brought into the lives of people and this is how a society can become "Islamic" so to speak. Not by having "Islamic state" and "Islamic laws". Because when ISlam is not in the our personal lives, then such formulation will only be a source of fitnah and fasad

No one was shocked! It was their way of implementation and interpretation of the Islamic laws which WAS absolutely wrong.

Btw, Swat is now under Sharia'ah law, it was the demand of the common people which was misused by Militants
