He is a former head of the Shabak not Mossad, they deal with internal affairs only (something akin to FBI).
He is talking about the need of a Sunni intelligence against Iran since Iran's nuclear bomb and expansionism is threatening the Sunni too. That does not mean that Israel has the capability to create anything like the Syrian revolution. It's should be clear to anyone who likes to practice analytical thinking.

The revolution only started after the example made by the Egyptian and Libyan revolutions, and to a smaller extent the Tunisian revolution, are you suggesting that Israel has this enormous power to do all this?

Israel has no interest in a Syrian revolution, since 1974 the Syrian border is the most quiet we have. Assad could be deterred against too serious military actions and Israeli military was light years ahead in tech. Why should Israel create a situation (even if we could) that would bring Islamist fanatics to our most quiet border? why would we risk that Syria would fall into more aggressive hands after having quite peaceful relations for decades?

Israel's concern is Iran, true. and we could sure use other Sunni countries to deal with the nuclear threat. It is no secret that they would also be affected by said threat and they realize this.
Is it really that shocking that in the ever changing middle east a situation where Sunni countries and Israel have mutual interests come to being?

Egyptians too came from all walks of life and started the movement against Mubarak. Now MB rules the roost, but elections were held. And hopefully the "baby democracy" in Egypt will continue moving forward.

But Assad kiled the baby democracy in his country.

And

now unfortunately we are dealing with civil war. which is much worse for Syria compared to a peaceful transition to someone like Morsi of Syria.
