In a comment set to embarrass theNarendra Modigovernment, Minister of State for Parliamentary AffairsMukhtar Abbas Naqvion Thursday said all those who cannot live without eating beef should go to Pakistan.

"It is not about loss or profit... it is an issue of faith and belief. It is a sensitive issue for the Hindus," Naqvi said at Aaj Tak's 'Manthan' event.

"Those who are dying without eating beef, can go to Pakistan or Arab countries or any other part of world where it is available," he said.

"Even Muslims are against it..." he contended.

Naqvi was countered by AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi who asked whether the central government would impose blanket ban on beef across India, especially in states like Goa, Jammu and Kashmir and Kerala where a large number of people eat this kind of meat.

On the issue of backwardness among Muslims, Naqvi said the Narendra Modi government was taking steps to eradicate poverty among the minorities.

"It is a fact that Muslims have remained away from development. Various social security schemes started by our government would help Muslims in a big way," he added.

A farmer in Kenya says one of his cows has given up its usual vegetarian diet and started eating sheep.

Charles Mamboleo, who runs a farm in south-western Nakuru County, discovered the cow feeding on a sheep one morning, having apparently gored it to death, the Daily Nation website reports. Fresh food and water couldn't tempt the cow, and another sheep met its end the following day, the report says. "After the first incident, we thought the cow was starving, so we increased the supply of fodder and water, but it still continued chasing after sheep," says Mr Mamboleo.

While cows are herbivores, developing a taste for meat could be a sign of a nutrient deficiency, according to a local agricultural officer. "The dry season, which has just ended, has seen most animals lack minerals found in green grass," Albert Kabugi tells the site. In 2007, a calf in India's West Bengal region was filmed eating chickens. A local vet said he suspected a lack of vital minerals was also to blame in that case, noting that it could happen in "exceptional" circumstances.

Welcome him to Bangladesh if you So care bout the freedom. Our country our rule. If majority have problem with something then it shud be respected. We don't ask Muslims to change their faith like we see in ur country and Pakistan for minorities.
It's because of beef that Indians don't tend to live with each other. Hindus dint have problems with other meat. Once beef is banned Hindu Muslims Christians can start living in same locality ending the separate localities for separate groups.

It is Infact a positive step towards unity of Indians.
