The active insurgencies/separatist movement in India are:

1. Kashmir - Jihadist

2. North East
a. Assam - ULFA and its associates for independent Assam/Bodoland (in decline)
b. Nagaland - (Nagalim movement) In decline - Voting more than 80%
c. Manipur - Various Groups - Quite active
d. Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura - In decline, high voter percentage in excess of 70%

If you count every north east state then the grand total is 7

3. Naxal/Maoist - Quite active in Bihar, Parts of Eastern UP, AP, Orissa, Jharkhand

Single movement.

So broadly three separatist movements which are active and if you stretch it, extends to 9 with various degrees of support starting from few 100s to many thousand in case of Kashmir and Maoist.

The only threats are Naxalite and Kashmir movement, Manipur and Nagaland not so much, AFSPA is in process of being withdrawn.

Compared to massive Indian population in totality, all threats can be eliminated except for Kashmir provided our leaders grow a pair of balls or few grey cells.

Non Active in India - Khalistan: It is dead and burried with few rats hiding in foreign countries. Every now and then you might see 5/6 Sikhs pictured waving flags but these low a number don't count.

I am Pakistani first and it is possible for a child of Lucknowi parents to be patriotic. I value my family history, even cousins who want united India. There is also no doubt that India uses his religious extremists (similar to Alqaeda and all), inside their own borders and have killed millions of innocent Christians, Muslims and Sikhs (the minorities). And apparently they can do that and the world, although knows the hypocrisy and double standards, doesn't want to get involved as there is trade and business with the Indians.

Having that said, this fool here is smoking some vegetarian stuff that may be highly illegal. Combine that with the hangover of the Hindu religious whiskey, its a crazy combination so he is hallucinating in today's world. Times have change, you can't get into a war or anything else with a country who openly declares a full spectrum nuclear doctrine at all level.
