I don't even bother to listen to this guy but this time I agree with what he is talking about military stuff and tactics.

He makes sense about military matters.

What he is referring to is going to be mid or late into the war. We are planning to pack a punch before that happens and possibly go tactical nuclear before shit hits the fan. If war becomes so decentralised it would mean we are in deep trouble already. Secondly A company commander or even a battalion commander doesn't need to take Strategic decisions, they will remain at mostly tactical level. They cannot influence change in strategy. Only use of Tactical nukes is a decision at strategic level for a field commander.

However I get his point and general direction is right.

Are the units equipped with NBC suits??? Are they trained to fight with them. I have, and our company almost collapsed due to sheer exhaustion by the weight of equipment, stiffing heat of Central Texas, and difficulty in breathing from Gas Masks!!!. Or for that matter our IFV are all fully NBC protected and Decontamination units/truck/tankers are routinely following advance units??

Are the forward echelon trained to check for contamination? Do we have dedicated vehicles to move forward of the main columns to check for such a scenario.

What is he talking about??? If a nuclear exchange happens, God forbids, fighting would be least of our worries. A tactical Nuclear Strike by Pakistan will definitely be followedup by a similar strike by India and most probably inside Pakistan as well. We will get double whammy of contamination from these two strikes.

What will Pakistan do after a nuclear strike by India on our territory.....now your guess is as good as mine.

Just hope and pray that conventional parity remains in place. Because use of nuclear option is the end game and not beginning of a different type of war!!!

Even in the 80s, my father's unit got NBC training and NBC equipment incase the Soviets who were visible at the landi kotal border crossed into Pakistan,
Now a days a majority of the force has NBC training

Every single officer has to do NBC training as a young office in infantry school, then again in MCC

My friend training is one thing and i am sure they are familiar with the concept on a smaller scale but fighting in Radiation fallout zone is totally altogether a different thing.

Have any one of us on this forum come across a Decontamination vehicle of PA? Or such a setup at field level?

I know that the tanks are NBC protected, and some of the IFV & the new MRAPs but what about the lorried infantry, the individual soldier??? I have yet to see MOP gear/Atropine Kit as part of a soldiers individual kit.

Fighting in an NBC contaminated environment is not part of the regular training regime.

Indian special unit commandos including some section of their ibgs have these suits and are very much prepared to fight in a contaminated region.on our side,I have no idea.
A nuclear war will surely end Pakistan but will it end India? I am not sure.the gases,radiation,clouds,even after few direct hits,many in India might survive.they are building large underground structures for the survival and I am sure they might survive so it's useless for us to talk about war just for kashmir.we can't destroy entire pakistan just for kashmir.even if they attack us,we must defend and use conventional weapons and not nuclear.people talk about nuclear like it's a joke but they have no idea about the destruction it can cause.you can't even breathe.forget about agriculture or sunlight.going nuclear means self destruction.
