What's new

This time, even China couldn't save Pakistan. Not when it came to Saeed

i think they will sacrifice this goat and crate one more .
thats correct but first such arrogant response on dawn leaks by establishment and now suddenly doing the same thing and getting the ordinance in urgency does not make it a respectable way. Why cant we plan the things better in anticipation rather than a knee jerk reaction.

The sort of shit that involves brains and not just chest out insecure bravado.

Hafiz Saeed may be contributing to society in some way but the damages far outweigh the benefits.

The same way I am happy Asma Jahangir is dead, I would be happy if Saeed disappeared. Its not personal, its business that is good for the state in the long run.

Yes Ashok Uncle is a mentor, humans accept humans as mentors rather than just hate everyone who doesn’t look like them.. skin color, religion or otherwise.

How did you assume that somehow contempt for Hafiz Saeed is love for Jahangir?
Again, reactionary.. and tainted viewpoints are what got us into this mess in the first place.

Pragmatism matters, not emotions.
I don’t care about fellow Pakistanis supporting me since I don’t put individual value to them- the state matters, 50 odd hotheads don’t.

If the the goals of strenthung the state and national integration 30 years from now require a genocide of 50 million.. sau bismillah.

I've never been taught to sell out a humwatan nafri or make judgements upon who should live or die. The state of Pakistan is alive because of us. People like us. If we lose our principles, then what is the point? I don't see anyone as an expendable unit, whether they are Muhajirs or anyone else in Pakistan. We need to stick up for our own. The irony I see in your statements is that while 'generals' and 'dictators' are bad because they select expendables, we as the society should decide who the expendables are.

Wtf is this bro? Can I decide for your family? Can you decide for me? Who are we to decide for anyone, except to try and protect each other? We can deal with our retards in house, but why should we bring ghar ki baat outside for anyone else?

These morons thrive on this shit.

Anyways, I agree with a lot of what you write. This time, I have to say I disagree. No hard feelings, but it is what it is.

@Oscar Bro, please do me a favor. Don't ever get happy with anyone's death. Even If it is the scum bag Modi. That's not how we operate. Just think and take a step back in full breath.

China has been instrumental in shielding Pakistan from the fallout of its misadventures. However, this time, even Beijing couldn't save Islamabad's bacon, not when it came to Hafiz Saeed and his "charities".

Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday signed an ordinance aimed at cracking down on terrorist organisations and individuals, which have been banned by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). The ordinance amends a section of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), enabling the authorities to take action against UNSC-proscribed individuals and terrorist outfits such as sealing their offices and freezing their bank accounts.

The ordinance will reportedly lead to the proscription of Hafiz Saeed-linked Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF). However, the truth could be that Islamabad is facing a tough situation that its friend Beijing has been unable to bail it out of.

Read below why Pakistan finally bit down on the pill regarding Saeed and how China tried to save it from having to do so, only to come up short against Indian efforts at an international financial body.
Who could not save Pakistan from "WHOM".

I understand what you’re saying and the idea of loyalty, but where did it get us?

In 47 the tribes went looting rather than focus on the task.. lost us Kashmir.
In 65 the Kashmiris sold us out, then the dictator sold himself out and ended up marginalizing the Bengalis.
In 71 again a dictator and general sold his troops and nation out.
Heck
Externally the Palestinians sold us out to India from day one, and the Afghanis are worse enemies than the most vile of Bhakt Hindu Cadre in India.

Loyalty and this falsified idea of brotherhood based on race or religion has cost us dearly.
If Pakistan has to survive, then levels of ruthless pragmatism has to be applied.
No one is dear, no one is holy, no one is indispensable.

How do you explain the government's capitulation over Faziabad dharna? It seems the only reason Pakistan moved against Hafiz Saeed and his organization was due strictly to international pressure. What about the rest of the pack?
State cant move against majority. Majority of Pakistanis are against that government act which results in the Faizabad Dharna. That mess was itself created by government and then got out of control due to shear incompetence. Linking movement of khawarij with a protest by ordinary Sunni Muslims is a huge miscalculation.

HAPPY LOSE boss dont fit with india. your claim looks good in movies :)

You brothers in this very thread claim otherwise and somewhat in agreement with my analogy, if not fully.

Only reason Pakistan is stubborn is because India factor, otherwise Saeed could have been killed in fake encounter long time ago. Non-state actors should be used like tissue paper, they served their purpose once but now should be put to rest for betterment of state.

Pakistan used tribals in 48 in fear of not escalating conflict and it backfired. To learn from that Pakistan in 65 instead of tribals decided to send army soldiers in civilian cloths and it back fired again, ended up defending Lahore.

Best time to resolve Kashmir issue was in 48, after that army generals should have forgotten about it. But they needed to fool nation and eat as much resources of poor public as possible.
