What's new

This is the Turkish Akıncı

.
Akinci will be integrated with Terrain (Radar) and Image (Infrared) based reference navigation, meaning it does not have to fly with satellite navigation at all.

How is it going to complete it's mission without input? Are you suggesting autonomous drones where you set the parameters before hand and send the drone away?

Doesn't require input from GPS/GNS/GLONASS navigation satellites.
Although Akinci is touted to be operated by AI, I'm sure there will still be operators on the ground.

Apart from the US, which other nation has the capability to produce drones like the Akinci? In the docu they said that Turkey will enter the club of 3 nations that posses that technology. Obviously the US is one of them, but what nation is the other?

I remember US military analysts were saying Iranian karar drone can perform bombing mission on their bases in ME using only inertial guidance and auto pilot with regular MK-80 series bombs with relatively acceptable accuracy...
with GPS guided munitions and the radar/visually corrected navigation, the accuracy increases even further.
