After India’s successful Mars Mission, The New York Times published a cartoon mocking India’s achievement. Though, it had to apologise afterwards. Yesterday, an unmanned US rocket Antares exploded during launch and Hindustan Times didn’t miss the opportunity to take revenge on the cartoon made by The New York Times.
Below are both the cartoons.
Last month, the New York Times ran this cartoon in response to India successfully launching its Mars Orbiter Mission
The cartoon sparked a huge backlash from Indians who thought it showed them as backwards despite their technological achievements, with some considering the depiction to be “blatantly racist.” The response was so strong that the New York Times took to its Facebook page to apologize
Now the Hindustan Times has come up with the perfect response, following the explosion on Tuesday of an Antares rocket bound for the International Space Station
Mission Accomplished!
This is the perfect reply by the Hindustan Times to The NYT for insulting India and ISRO
