What's new

This is Jinnah’s Pakistan

Your experience ?

Pakistan is a society stuck with two extremes neglecting the middle path which Jinnah wanted for Pakistan. Right now it is either a burger boy or a mullah boy.

How interesting "Burger Biys" are now referred to as "extreme", indeed why not, the feed on burgers and want to drink alcohol and date girls:astagh: yet they don't pick up guns against the state, they don't put bombs against co-religionists - they are extreme to be sure

Not doing something is as equal as being useless but that certainly doesn't mean becoming a self destructive mullah. In between burger and mullah there is something called being sensible.

So burger boys should pick up weapons and bombs? - - I don't think Pakistanis are confused, they just have a hard time being bipedal and walking with humanity - why else would anyone imagine no difference between taking weapons against the state and bombing those who disagree and not wanting to be separated from the world, not killing or bombing??

I realize that you are not conflicted and do not support terrorism, but I encourage you to look at things in light not of your prejudices but your reason and morality

Read the entire post. Don't single out one line.

If you think for a second that i support these bloody nut hole mullahs then that is the biggest insult for me as a Pakistani. I merely want our nation not to follow Western burger culture but to improve and live our own way of life. I merely said to walk a fine path between two extremes.

No insult is being offered - what is being suggested is that the dichotomy that you offer as "extreme" is deeply flawed -- you, as a cultural nationalist offer that we are somehow different and separate from the world - and this is not in accord with reality, "Burger culture" what you really mean is "Western" but Western is as much our cultural heritage as any other - with cultural propositions good, bad, right and wrong are better criteria than absolutely any other - after all, whether Western or Arab or Indian, there are good aspects and and bad, values that can further us in peaceful lives or hinder that - isn't that so? Why reject things in their whole especially since we do accept it, after all, you and I are conversing in the language of Burger culture.

Your point taken but so far Pakistani people seems to appreciate only the worst side of western culture. I am living in UK and unfortunately there is nothing good that Pakistani people seem to adopt from this culture. All they adopted is pants below their A$$ line.
