I ain't Chinese as you have noticed but tearing down relics of a 5000 years old civilization won't do any good. Good or bad history is history and can never be changed or shouldn't be forgotten.

Every-time I see images from China, they fascinate me more. Guys you have developed soooooooooooooo darn much! you have achieved everything that a country and a Nation could.

it depends on what you are talking about. for those old resident buildings which you have half million of them in a single city, clearly there is no reason to keep all of them just because they are old. a far better approach is the keep the best of them plus some of them in each area, put limited resources on them to make sure they are always in good maintaince.

then kick out all the rest.

I see what bad history for China you said,we should not forget china had once been half colonized for 100 years.
So we maintain many many colony period buildings in Tianjin .We has a saying that if you want to know modern China you should look on Tianjin.

Most clever & 100% logical.

Pls. China Co.'s invest in S.Asia including Pak & India, show them!
Also profitable idea because local developers only speculating and not serious about serving the ppl. or the public. Greedy bas*ards make only very high priced un-affordable bldg.'s and leave 80 % of the land un-developed deliberately.

Many Golf courses for chor-uchchekke-badmaash/corrupt types but no affordable 2 bedroom apt.'s for middle classes. Big, maybe world's biggest opportunity which only China Co.'s can handle because China Co.'s used to scale.
