Taliban in the last 24 hours have taken many districts in all corners of Afghanistan, surprising many analysts. The Afghan forces in many districts just simply melted away or surrendered. The Taliban in the process got their hands on many weapons and hardware.

Not really and it was expected. ANA army doesn't exist in real. Just few bunch of jobless Afghans, who used to wear fancy solider uniforms for monthly wages. These people are not fool to give up their lives for useless mayor of Kabul.

The Afghan Govt is claiming many Pakistanis are fighting along with the Taliban. Just in Nangarhar, they are claiming to kill many Pakistanis!

would USA cut funding as well..i didnt expect things to fall so fast as long as funding is intact

the way things are folding up seems that majoirty thinks USA doesnt plan to fund the afghan govt for long time, hence everyone is just falling

if USA comits to funding(but how can USA be trusted) things will hold for some time

Where are the true friends of Afghan Gov? Ghani must now know the cost of befriending the openly deceptive Indians. Their triumph lies in deceiving people, they did the damage to Pakistan using Afghan soil and when it came time to defend their hosts they packed their bags and fled. India should prove the history wrong and show they are not deceptive and cherish values like loyalty and intervene to save their friends who they have been using since the start of the war. The space allowed by the afghan government to Indian operatives wrecked havoc in Pakistan, the turmoil ensured Pakistan remains weak economically. After all these favors Indians left them high and dry and proved itself as a true follower of deceptive Chanakya.

This is bad for pakistan too. Haqeeqat TV an other goos like sabir Shakir, oriya and osama ghazi have painted taliban as some sort of hero an Islamic warrior. Whereas they are nothing but jangli nanthradrals.
Their version of Islam and their stupid customs should never be allowed in pakistan. Their fan boys needs to be kept in check in pakistan.
They have not changed. Their ways are more cruel now. Jahalat is rampant.
At least Iran and Saudi Arabia are normal states. Talban version make saudia Arabia and Iran look like secular state.
The world ould blame their actions on pakistan sadly. Close the border

Taliban fighters are mostly illiterate rural farmers....not much more skilled the ANA. They are more willing to participate and die in a Jihad. That's the difference.

I read reports on how the ANA's elite commando units were wiped out. Taliban used mortors to knock their MRAPs. ANA relief forces ignored the commando's pleas for help. They were left to die. Morale in the ANA has plummeted since that fight.

The ANA was mainly a "paper" force, according to studies by our Armed Forces upto a third of ANA and other soldiers just exist on paper and the general of that outfit would just keep the wages and benefits for himself.

Another third was useless and illiterate and not much beyond a warm body.

The final third could fight, was brave, but was exhausted, over stretched with up 10 months in theatre without a break, with not much food and ammo.

The same problem as above with the Spec Forces, totally stretched and exhausted, in conclusion a great big cluster fck, and collapse in all theatres.

20 years on the battlefield and u think they are not skilled? Its easy to train with toys but a different ball game when death is lurking around. There is no better teacher than practical experience and they have alot of that.
