I'm waiting for India to shoot at Chinese troops. If not, there is no need for India to import any more planes, tanks for ships. Why buy them just for exercises and parades. Are Indians scared of facing China? How can it be regarded as the next super power if it does not respond to another country putting troops in their territory.
That exactly sums why the chinese are confounded..and even more scared now.
Have full capability to blast them out . whenever you please. Then, we don't even need to mobilise even a single soldier.
It was, perhaps, known to both India and china prior to all this as well.. but now its out in the open. Indian conventional defence capabilites have injected fear into pla. While India is exhibiting confidence, chinese panic has only now come out in the open.
From a big view perspective, I think it is a desirable outcome.
Negotiations can proceed ahead, only when both sides come to a realisation that there is NO solution by using force. China didn't agree with this fully ... even the 1962 attempt at it and failure to solve anything, didn't teach them anything. But the sooner they learn, the better it is.
Indian govt response has been very measured and mature. China's actions remind of pakistanish mode of working. And it won't be flattering for china, if its compared to pakistan. Hope it grows up to a level of maturity higher than pakistan's. (othwerwise, HongWu-ites will easily lead it into total annihilation of PRC, just like what hitler did to germany).
