'Third country's' Army could enter Kashmir on behalf of Pakistan: Chinese media

A stagnating economy, pressure of the leadership that is loosing its grip on the population...

I think these are possible reasons. That would definitely explain the rather shrill domestic media noise in China, which is quite rare.

However, they could apply to us as well. What if Modi decides he needs a crisis come 2019? He will get votes out of a conflict. I can already imagine the Sunday Mann ki baat special edition...!!!

Jokes apart, so far Indian is not playing to the gallery, maybe because a war with China never really held the kind of emotional appeal that war with Pakistan has. Which explains why we so casually admit to what happened in 1962 - imagine what our reaction would be had it been Pakistan.

Yes, for Modi also this may hold true. Politicians are politicians.

But he still enjoy POPULAR SUPPORT. PR China's CCP? I doubt it now. All of the Chinese I interacted with (outside PDF) are least bothered about Bhutan, India borders. Only about earning money. More and more money.

Actually that would depend on what the Chinese want out of the next few decades. I think the media, under the government's instructions, does a fine balancing act. It basically tells the people that China's time is coming, and questioning the government will only mess up the hard work they have done for 30 years. Be patient and we will soon be the superpower we historically were. While at the same time not increasing expectations so much also that people start seeing the current situation as inadequate.

Personally, I think the Party will he able to ride out any crisis. Look at what Putin does in China. He spins any adversity to his advantage. International sanctions? no problem, blame the West. Negative economic growth rate? blame Bretton Woods. And somehow people seem to lap it up - the narrative of a strong man standing up to the evil West. Erdogan is doing the same in Turkey. The more they sink the nation, the more they profit from the resulting siege mentality.

Whoa! You may well be right, man. :)
Let's see.

Look, if Beijing has made giving India a bloody nose its primary objective, then that may well be the end result. I am not going to argue that India can withstand a Chinese onslaught in the Himalayas. I don't think we are prepared for that.

However, what will be the end result? Escalating the situation into all-out war is surely not on the Chinese menu - I don't see how your country would wish to jeopardize the economic development that you have worked so hard to achieve. You have more to loose than India does. And as far as limited conflict goes, let's say the Chinese Army is able to wipe the floor with the Indian military. What then?

Have you ever considered the logical extension of the current scenario that is playing out in South Asia? It is true that India has been greatly whittled and somewhat contained due to the relentless animosity of Pakistan. They have little to loose and India is indeed wary of them. What would China gain by ensuring that India collectively decides that seeking revenge for the bloody nose is the only project for the next 50 years?

Sure, you could argue that it would turn us into a semi-failed state like our Western neighbour. And you might be right about it as well. But the end result for you will not change. Your grand plans for replacing American hegemony will then have to pass through the animosity of 1.3 billion Indians, who as of today are oblivious to China's rise. And if our rise has been shackled due to the equation with Pakistan, imagine what will happen in your case.

Is the border issue really worth that much trouble?

Hey though you seemed like typical prey of Indian biased brainwashing I liked the tone and logic and the only real truth " India being shackled by Pakistan" therefore I would like to give you a real glimpse of how actual normal Pakistani's like me feel about India well we don't give a damn we are too busy in our daily lives work, friends and family that we don't have time to even discuss india or think about her in any way.

Yeah when we hear about Kashmiris being killed by your army we feel bad for our brothers whose only sin is their religion and that's that or when we hear that on average daily hundreds of women are raped in Incredible India we just pray for Indians to become humans and same goes for killing of muslims for cows.

And even our media doesn't cover India that much as compared to yours clearly showing who is obsessed by who.

By the way just ask kashmiris what they want to do with their land and give them right to self determination as mandated by UN and we will remove Indian shackles for sure instead will help your progress by opening trade routes to Afghanistan, Iran and central asia as we are not enemies of hindus or Hindustanis we just get really sad to hear what you guys do with Kashmiris and cant help someone who is killing our brothers with joy. Do you even know for every 3 unarmed kashmiris young men theres one armed to teeth indian army soldier its the world's most heavily militarized zone with no free press so one can imagine whats going on there so if you see at it logically its actually India who has shackled herself owing to her stubborn and illogical attitude in Kashmir .

As far as China is concerned they are way smarter and well informed than Indians why they have to enter their army in Kashmir and disrupt their billions dollar trade with India if things ever came to that they can easily achieve the same aim of damaging India internally by heavily supplying arms and training to Kashmiri freedom fighters. There are thousands of young Kashmiri men dreaming about having weapons to get revenge from IA and Pakistan's policy of restraint has left a vacuum that China can easily fill if they feel it appropriate so India is in a tight spot and needs to manoeuver very carefully if she wants to continue with her suppression tactics as they will backfire sooner or later.

Have a good day

It would be nice if you could add grammatical punctuations to your sentences. Makes them easier to read.

The tragedy is, you claim that you do not care much about anything apart from your daily life, and yet you challenge me with a set if facts that us so wrong on so many levels that I do not even know where to begin. I agree with your assessment of yourself, that you are too busy in your life to care about anything, because it shows in your understanding. If human rights abuses are your concern, then look at what happens in Balochistan. If rape is your concern, then look at the Hudood Ordnance and the requirements to proving rape in Pakistan. If obsessive media coverage is your concern, then refer to YouTube, which will give you an answer as to how much coverage Pakistan gets in Indian media and vice versa. Our media does not report on Pakistan unless it is to mention some Pak-orchestrated terror attack. You on the other hand yourself admit you get a steady diet of news about rapes, atrocities and everything bad that happens in India.

That instead of realizing these truths about your own country, you are busy doing the same "poking nose where it doesn't belong" that is the hallmark of your national psyche, shows that there is no point in dealing with you.

Have a nice day as well.

Well just compare rape statistics of India's with Pakistan's or any other country for that matter and you will get your answer.
Just compare how many times Balochis got buried in Indian flag(None) to how many times Kashmiries got buried in Pakistani flag (100's) so you will realize how lame is the comparison of Kashmir and Balochistan though RAW has been doing this effort for decades but they still need to work harder and hide successfully their spies like Yadav from ISI. Also see how many youtube videos are there where Baloch who gave up weapons admitted RAW support.

Anyways you missed the main point of my earlier post its not Pakistan its actually India who has shackled herself.

But we agree to disagree.

If Iraq can be bombed to stone age and east temor can be slipt apart from Indonesia, the point is, you just need legitimacy which the current UN resolution already provides for any sort of action. The right to vote and exercise the human right to choose (between Paksitan and India) is one of them

You need to re visit your facts
