Afghanistan and Pakistan are not friends, they are very close friends. Infact, brothers. Or should I say to better explain, these are two names of one identity. You can't seperate them, you can't feed hate between them, you can't make them fool with your BS and by saying Afghan brough drug culture in Pakistan, pakis brought other similar in Afghanistan. In my view, individuals and entities, who carries out attacks on noncombatant civilians, with an objective to kill and maim and cause terror in society, irrespective of howsoever glorious the end goal may be is a terrorist. Entities and individual with clear ideology and with an objective to achieve clear goals, either political or ideological and engages combatant of the opposing side can be termed as militants.

Taliban of 90s who overthrew the Kabul government can be called militant. The current form is more a terrorist outfit.

This is beside what "Taliban" the word actually means.

And the clear ideology with clear goals means the Justifiable ideologies with Justifiable goals.

As far as Afghanistan's REAL Taliban are concern. They are no longer Taliban now. However, we can call them Militants (or Mujahadeen within Islamic circles of debates). The more better terminology to use for them is Freedom Fighters, as they are fighting against foreign occupation of their homeland.

The Talibans of 90s, however were never called as Taliban. They were always refered as Mujahadeen and were highly respected. As they were in the same bed with USA while they were defeating USSR.

To me both the Mujahadeen of 90s and Talibans of todays are freedom fighters. The only difference is that the Mujahadeen were fighting against the foreign occupation of USSR, while the Taliban are fighting against the foreign occupation of USA.

THAT IS WHY THEY WERE MUJAHADEEN AND THESE ARE TERRORISTS.
