On December 12, Muslims across the world observed Eid-e-Milad, a day to celebrate and to mourn the birth and death anniversaries of the Prophet Muhammad, respectively. Devotees observe the day by distributing sweets and other offerings. Stories and tales of the loved prophet’s life are narrated. Processions in remembrance of Prophet Muhammad are taken out on this day.

While this is an Islamic festival, in an extremely touching gesture of brotherhood and friendship, a bunch of Hindus reportedly distributed sweets to those taking part in a procession in Kerala. A popular Facebook page by the name Unofficial: Subramanian Swamy shared the images on social media, which are now going viral.

According to a report by TwoCicles.net, this incident took place in various parts of Kerala’s Malabar district, like Chandragiri, Uduma, Tirur, Kondotty and Nediyiruppu. The Hindus reportedly distributed drinks and the traditional sweet pudding or payasam. Apparently, some of those serving were Lord Ayappa devotees, who were fasting ahead of their holy pilgrimage to Sabarimala, but were more than happy to participate in the good deed.

Amid much strife and communal/religious disharmony, such stories of friendship really present a ray of hope for a peaceful future. Earlier this year, two Muslim and Hindu men donated kidneys to each others’ wives so as to save their lives, not to forget the several times each of the two communities have come together to help each other out through dire straits.

If you want to see hate then definately you will find the worst kind of hate in India.
But if you want to see harmony and friendship then also India will provide you with heart warming incidents.
Again i repeat , we see what we want to see.

I want you to be positive, hope for friendship and peace. We humans naturally have good values, almost the same moral values are tought by all religions. Change is inevitable, let that change be positive and constructive by thinking as such.

If you take opinion of one Muslim as the whole truth, then let me also present another whole truth to you. I am a Muslim, I was born in India, I migrated to US with my family during my childhood and now I am back to my motherland. My great grand father in 47 made a choice to remain in Bombay, our home town and we never regretted that decision. Even if Pakistan were to invite all of the Muslims in India with a red carpet, I know, no one in my family would have ever moved there. It was never worth it, it is not worth it now and Insha-Allah; it will never be worth it in the future as well. So, that person told you a lie, there are enough Muslim in India who would never prefer to move to Pakistan, no matter what the price. This land has given us more than enough and more than what Pakistan could ever have given to us.

So here it is, either that person lied to you or you misunderstood him or her.
