He is just a stupid guy and is going to put Pakistan in a troubled position due to his repeated BS on foreign trips that Pakistani "trained" militants during Afghan war, what the hell does he even want to prove by reiterating this BS again and again. International relations are not a "reality show" or "confession chambers", I really don't understand the childish nativity of this guy. Imagine Gen. Zia ul Haq telling journalists on his world tour post 1984 that we had prepared nuclear weapon, it would have been a national disaster. National "realities" are supposed to be kept secret irrespective of how much the foreign journalists/heads of state entice him to reveal them, he as ruler of Pakistan is supposed to keep his mouth shut about them.

To be fair, he did include the US in that conversation AND he's talking about something that happened 40+ years ago. Also he then goes on to talk about fighting the same elements.

Imran Khan is wrong. There are multiple "Islam". Because even if the principles are compromised, the interpretations are different. Moreover, it is doubtful that even the principles have been compromised...

He is right that there is only one Islam but as you said there are limitless interpretations. Of course this applies to every religion or human philosophy. The fact that we have differant schools of thought and sects alludes to this reality.
