if you didn't get my hint from the last few posts, many indian muslims have turned reactionary in the last 15 years, the burqa being the face of it, either imposed through social pressure or adopted by "naya musalmaan" types.

in most muslim-majority countries, burqa was either banned decades ago or was reviled, and that because those societies saw socialist revolution taking over the state... no so in india, because indian muslims live in a country where reactionary tendencies are accepted by the state because the indian state is not socialist.

Most muslims in India live OUTSIDE the state control and cover. Which is why jails are full of muslims.

So why does the muslim society impose burqa ?

there have been studies on that... you should first look at them before forming opinion.

and other than having a anti-human social/economic system, india has a obsolete and unscientific legal system... these two combine to make india's jails a overloaded institution.

The indians (Hindutvas) love these kinds of pictures... they have a false belief that all religious and national unity exists only when a burqa clad mother is holding a boy dressed as lord Ram. For them both have to give up their religious principles to truly be a well wisher of hindus.

Most muslim societies except Saudia and to some extent Iran (even Iran does not enforce burqa but hijab) do not have a strict rule that demands all women to wear a burqa. Where the rule actually exists like in Saudi Arabia we condemn it. It is the societies duty not to cover up their problems and mistakes but to raise them and each evil act so that those evil rules are eradicated. It is our job to stand against an evil law be it Hindu made or Muslim made-India made or Pakistan made.

for them that is secular, anything else is sickular.

such news items are always glorified... muslims and christians contributing to construction of hindu temples, sell-out mullahs and burqas ( these are always the sell-outs, like presented in the op ) sharing agenda with sangh leaders in some sangh-arranged function, some urdu-medium school singing "vande mataram" in the morning assembly, muslims chanting ( unexplainable ) hate of pakistan... all such things are "secular".

No doubt India needs to implement "scientific" sharia
