Actually the first clear mention of palestine is by heroditus around the 5th century bc and there are even earlier egyptian references to peleset dating back all the way to 1150 bc,the assyrians referred to the region as palashtu/palastu/piliustu beginning around 800 bc.So you can see that the name is very old and has been used to refer to the region for a very,very long time.

Can you please tell me if it was jewish ( two tribes) or yisraelites ( all the 12 tribes) who had control over the so called israel at the time of jeremiah who warned them that this holyland will be taken from them. Afterwards the babylonians attacked them
