Don't know but this aircraft looks too bulky and very uneven since day one ... maybe because of its size in length and width with small canopy dont know but very unbalance and uneven aerodynamically

Almost all modern fifth generation fighter platforms are aerodynamically unbalanced more or less if left unassisted. They are kept in balanced flight using artificial means (frontal canards, thrust vectoring, thrust re-direction etc.)

Perhaps China will stop at 500 J-20 because it wants to go straight to 6th Gen to keep pace with the US
