BJP just needs a recognisable face in TN to make any mark. Speculations were ripe about Rajanikant joining the party soon after his current movie project comes to an end. Not sure how true... but if it is, could be just the impetus required make an impact.

I think the BJP-SHIV SENA divide is a whole planned act by Amit Shah(remember he is considered a chanakya in politics).Both the parties knew at the time central government formed that there will be election in Maharastra on October. Both of them had no problems untill the Maharastra election, suddenly they started fighting for seats and then broke up there 25 years alliance. I think this was mainly planned by Amit Shah so as to reduce the votes of NCP and Congress and get the majority for BJP and SHIV SENA a win-win situation, and will form alliance in no matter what situation they get. But then this is just my idea.
