2T Stalker Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance
The 2T Stalker must perform extremely dangerous tasks when penetrate the enemy area. Therefore, the vehicle used advanced stealth technology that helps it significantly reduce radar, infra-red and optical signature and low level of noise compared to other armored vehicles of the same type.
2T Stalker is coated with a special paint that absorbs electromagnetic radiation to reduce the likelihood of the vehicle being detected by radar. The vehicle’s survivability is enhanced by combining with the design of the turret and hull with no sharp edges, allowing the machine to be invisible to enemy radar.
Furthermore the Stalker has a mine-protection comparable to that of the main battle tanks, it survives explosions equivalent to around 10 kg of TNT. Another level of protection is ensured by a self-protection and laser-warning suite. As the vehicle is exposed to laser radiation, the crew is notified about it, and smoke flares are fired in the direction of the radiation source.
It has a maximum range of 1000 km, the maximum speed on flat roads up to 95 km/h..The speed is lower on rough terrain, but even here it exceeds 60 km / h.
A hydropneumatic suspension can be lowered in order to crouch behind terrain while moving at low speed. The 2T Stalker is also fitted with an NBC protection and capable of making 10 m ramp-jumps. The Combat weight of the vehicle is 27.4 tonne.
Designed for deep reconnaissance raids and sabotage operations, the 2T Stalker is equipped with advanced computerized optoelectronic fire control system, which is able at any time to detect, track and attack both ground and aerial targets.
The sound of the vehicle only being heard when it runs at 60 km/h at a distance of 300 to 400m, it is the lowest sound level of a tracked vehicles.
Detection of the machine by the enemy with the help of infrared surveillance tools is hampered with the help of special-shaped tailpipes. They are placed on the sides of the rear of the machine and are long gutters. The exhaust gases are cooled by diluting them with air that has passed through the radiator. Such a system does not allow to bring the temperature of the gases at the exit to the level of the environment, but the effect is nonetheless present. "Invisibility" for the radar is provided with the help of specific hull lines. It is made of flat panels, mated with each other at different angles. By the same principle, a relatively low but wide tower was made.
The machine can transport up to 12 anti-tank mines in the same compartment. For long-term raids in the rear of the enemy, each Stalker has a supply of food and water enough for a week for all five fighters.
The Stalker is armed with a stabilized 30mm 2A42 automatic cannon and coaxial 7.62-mm machine gun PKT.
At the rear of the turret mounted a launcher for two surface-to-air missile Igla-1, two missiles are stored in the machine. The board niches turret under armor covers are two retractable twin launchers of anti-tank guided missiles 9K114 “Cocoon”.
Six rockets are transported in special combat pack in the machine. 9K114 anti-tank guided missiles controlled by radio and can hit well armored targets at ranges of up to 5000 m.
Cumulative warhead missiles pierce armor protection, equivalent to 600 mm normal steel armor. There is also a 30-mm automatic grenade launcher.
Highly maneuverable high speed 2T Stalker tracked vehicle is designed for deep reconnaissance and special operations.
The Belorussian military showed interest in the "Stalker" and even ordered a batch of three dozen .. But Stalker-2T turned out to be too expensive for a country with a weaker economy..
