What's new

The very first Aviator in History.

it's an enormous leap (pardon the pun) from a guy fluttering down from a height, and living to tell the tale, to controlled and sustained heavier than air flight.

The Chinese were messing with kites thousands of years ago. And a bunch of high-school kids could probably make a man-carrying kite. I think there's a strong possibility that China put people in kites. But that's not flying, nor is a hot air balloon flying.

I don't think man has invented anything yet that flies like a bird (oh wait I forget the miniature drone bees)
Modern aircraft don't fly they swim

Semantics! Within a decade of the Wright brothers, mankind had already flown faster than any bird ever has, and within a few more years, higher as well.

I think we can define flight for purposes of this argument as a heavier than air craft taking off under its own power, flying through the air under control of the pilot, and landing intact at an elevation no lower than the take-off point.

Gliders have been around for perhaps centuries, but that's not flight. Even a simple parachute is a form of gliding. A kite = captive glider.

the first doctor (or medic) was a muslim. Islam (Quran) started the medical sciences and there are a lot of Senior doctors who are researching on Quran to find out more about sciences (not sure if they are converts or not) but it has been successful. Why doesnt anyone look at this part, it is Islam which has made the world stand.

Sushruta

Sushruta' (Sanskrit: सुश्रुत (sʊʃɾʊt̪), fl. 800 BC)[1] was an ancient Indian surgeon and is the author of the book Sushruta Samhita, in which he describes over 300 surgical procedures and 120 surgical instruments and classifies human surgery in eight categories. He lived, taught and practiced his art on the banks of the Ganges in the area that corresponds to the present day city of Varanasi in North India.
Because of his seminal and numerous contributions to the science and art of surgery he is also known by the title "Father of Surgery." Much of what is known about this inventive surgeon is contained in a series of volumes he authored, which are collectively known as the Sushruta Samhita.[2]
