The US's Huawei ban look like a cruel joke

Huawei was doing very well, no doubt. However, American move have cast a shadow on the future of Huawei.

Chinese members need to understand that GOOGLE ECOSYSTEM is very important to the consumer base [outside] China.

China can develop its own systems but will these take-off outside China or not, is the point and a major gamble. Brands like Microsoft, Oracle and Google have no peer and/or substitute in the world - very important for homes and businesses alike.

Look what happened to Nokia because it did not adopt GOOGLE ECOSYSTEM.

Chinese members do not realize how much they benefit from American technologies and business-related partnerships in various fields. YOU try to sort out issues with your largest business partner and supplier of crucial parts, period. This trade war must be sorted out at earliest, prolonged confrontation is not recommended.

I wish china and Huawei all the best but my concerns are following

1) Will huawei be able to build an OS of the level of iOS & Android?

2) Will the new OS have app developers around the globe? e.g., for my company's app, I hired some developers to build iOS & Android app? I was initially reluctant about the iOS app but after few surveys I gave the green signal for iOS app! Will the new developers be commonly available? Will it be worth for companies to develop a third app for say 2-3%(hypothetical percentage) users of huawei smartphones? HUAWEI will have to find a way to make its OS's developers common globally?

3) If all chinese smartphone companies come up with a unified new OS, only then I see a viable third alternative to iOS and android getting developed and and adopted universally!

All the best to chinese, this monopoly must be broken and who better than chinese :)

Yes, and the Chinese entity ban list works towards this goal. Stop supplying to Huawei = stop supplying to all companies based in china. So all smartphone companies will have no choice, but to adopt Huawei's technology.

Nope I'm ready to use apitotide for my needs as long as it gets updated regularly(which it isn't for now- there r tons of outdated apps in it)

Yes, but that is not the point.

Look at YOUR computer. Can anyone come up with an alternate format? Not necessarily 'better', but just different. Absolutely many people can come up with an alternate form factor. But can it make a difference, as in changing people's minds?

Ultimately, it is the market that determines who lives or dies. For now, Huawei needs these trade organization than they need Huawei. That 'For now' does not mean a few yrs but more like a few decades. The Chinese government can force China to adopt Huawei's products, from hardware to software, but no more outside of China's borders.
You are talking about frèe marker, while china is controled market.

Look at google youtube facebook ppl can say nobody can beat them and offer alternative, but lòok at china's controlled market, BAT is leading and ready to compete in int marker soon in the future ..

It shows how scared American people and businesses are in front of their government. Their government can break and bankrupt anyone who they deem to be non-conforming. That power forces US citizens to develop anticipatory obedience. I bet even Trump didn't realize how effective his command is.

By your logic Nokia will still be the king since nobody will use iPhone with a new OS, so is android.
you need to open your eyes and see the reality.

Can not understand some of pakistani friends
It seems their loyalty to USA and the west is deep into bones, they are more loyal than indians to USA
Its not about being a Pakistani or western my friend
its more about overview , there is no denying that china never takes stand against US , either if it comes to help their allies like syria , iran or sanctions!

also there is no doubt huawei sales got big hit after US sanctions. consumer in west will no longer buy huawei phones .
regarding huawei telecom equipment , huawei already has strong hold of africa and middle east. but not west and europe ( excluding UK)

The trade war is really fun and easy to win by China, I really enjoy this ongoing trade war show, lets count how many US corporations will file for bankruptcies this time, I bet more so than that in 2008.

Its good to have a trade war to take down the US, it cost a lot of less human lives than a hot war.:enjoy:
We here are witnessing "the survival of the fittest"

And your China is different how?

How foolish!
In the peace time,Some countries kiss USA's dick, when they are bombed by the USA and west, China was named your ally suddenly

For huawei,Without NA and Australia market, huawei is already No. 1 including EU.
You tell me "not the West and Europe”, keep kissing the West
Modern mental slaves

To some point,I find the GCC countries are clever, they know how to use their advantages, how to build relationship, how to deal with the others

Only explain your question for technical view.
1) Will huawei be able to build an OS of the level of iOS & Android?
Huawei have prepared about 10 years for this new OS, but the target is not replacing Android, it's for Fuchsia, Fuchsia is Google next generation OS to replace chrome and Android, totally new designed from low level for IoT, IoT is future. Android is out of date even for Google.

what about current Android users? Android is a free software, every one can use it free, but Google Play is not free.
Fortunately, in China, almost every big smartphone maker has his own app store to replace google play. in Europe, Aptoide will be integrated to replace Google Play. So the solution is : China provide smartphone hardware to Europe , Europe certificate and distribute every software on it. This is every European government want. they don't believe USA either.
every Chinese smartphone company has his own Plan B. maybe they will not follow Huawei.

I wish china and Huawei all the best but my concerns are following

What happened to Nokia was not because of lack of Google ecosystem . it was because of lack of innovation symbian was outdated and Nokia didn't bother to redesign it and when they did it was too little to late.
