Just a few days ago, after US announced the total Huawei ban, there are small minors like SD association, JEDEC association, IEEE association, Bluetooth association and Google's Android Q also announced they terminated Huawei's memberships as well.

But just a few days later, they all backtrack their decisions:rofl:, and resume Huawei's memberships, within days, Huawei announced their own NM memory card, super Bluetooth tech (connect device as far as 150 meters away) and their own ARK OS.

The west media remain silence about the embarrassing performance of their little dogs pathetic attempts against Huawei.

Its really funny to see the US's pathetic attempts, its look like the Nazi launch a hundred divsions army to invade Russia and get owned by Soviet border police force.

The trade war is really fun and easy to win by China, I really enjoy this ongoing trade war show, lets count how many US corporations will file for bankruptcies this time, I bet more so than that in 2008.

Its good to have a trade war to take down the US, it cost a lot of less human lives than a hot war.:enjoy:

That is because Huawei was granted a 90 days general license by the US government.

https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2019/05/22/2019-10829/temporary-general-license

This is so that Huawei can service its current contracts. So when this license was granted, all these trade groups reinstated Huawei's membership.

Huawei's CEO told the media they don't need the 90 days licenses at all, stop making excuses, the 90 day licenses is a just an US dotard backtrack, and btw, IEEE and such are non-profit entities, they don't need licenses and don't effected by the ban, and they announced the ban AFTER the US claim they give 90 days liscence nonsense.

But they still try to go ahead, however when China put a little pressure, they just keep bending over:lol:

Its really take a dotard to take on someone 10x the size of you in terms of industrial power:lol:

Then perhaps these organizations should have waited 90 days before making any substantial move?

From what I can see, such policy incoherence only makes America look very stupid right now.

IEEE actually put the ban after the so-called US 90 day time, and they just fold like a worm after China give it a little pressure:lol:

Look very bigly stupid and weak just like they really are:rofl:

its a big slap on China itself and defeat of china
think from marketing point of view , no one wants to buy huawei device any more
what if us bans whatsapp on huawei devices ? google play ? gmail

china has alternative apps but world is not ready for change.

so US slapped china like a baby and what china could do is nothing. As china is mainly exporter not importer.

By your logic Nokia will still be the king since nobody will use iPhone with a new OS, so is android.

What you guys do not understand about trade groups is evident.

Trade groups have benefits from providing members with information to reviewing emerging technologies to even lobbying with governments. When these trade groups initially suspended Huawei's membership, it does not mean Huawei cannot continue to use their standards or even depart from those standards. Huawei can do whatever it want. But for all your childish glee, you neglected to ask why does Huawei want its memberships reinstated in the first place? Is Huawei large and powerful enough to flaunt US or not?

The long term consequences have to be glossed over by Huawei, but for those who works in these industries, which we can be sure most of you do not and therefore do not understand, we know Huawei's leadership are at least 'concerned', if not outright feared. These trade groups, if properly pressured by the US government, can effectively shut Huawei out of most industries' standards and when manufacturers and clients sees that, Huawei will be hurt, even in overseas markets.

Last year, the US government initiated a crippling ban on the sale of technology to Chinese telecoms equipment maker ZTE Corp, forcing it to sue for peace by paying a US$1.2 billion fine, replacing its entire senior management and accepting a US monitor to ensure its compliance.

To be honest, trade conflicts between china and usa is reasonable, But the altitude and method of usa just cross the red line, have gone beyond too much

The trade war do no good to both countries

I wish china and Huawei all the best but my concerns are following

1) Will huawei be able to build an OS of the level of iOS & Android?

2) Will the new OS have app developers around the globe? e.g., for my company's app, I hired some developers to build iOS & Android app? I was initially reluctant about the iOS app but after few surveys I gave the green signal for iOS app! Will the new developers be commonly available? Will it be worth for companies to develop a third app for say 2-3%(hypothetical percentage) users of huawei smartphones? HUAWEI will have to find a way to make its OS's developers common globally?

3) If all chinese smartphone companies come up with a unified new OS, only then I see a viable third alternative to iOS and android getting developed and and adopted universally!

All the best to chinese, this monopoly must be broken and who better than chinese :)

I guess nothing more than the following then we can understand Pakistan's difficulties:

Sixty years of US aid to Pakistan: Get the data
https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/poverty-matters/2011/jul/11/us-aid-to-pakistan

U.S. suspends at least $900 million in security aid to Pakistan
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-pakistan-aid/u-s-suspends-at-least-900-million-in-security-aid-to-pakistan-idUSKBN1ET2DX

united sanctions of america is becoming more and more short on wits; long on brutality.
It is a big disgrace and it is still going on behaving like a mafia boss!

Yes, but that is not the point.

Look at YOUR computer. Can anyone come up with an alternate format? Not necessarily 'better', but just different. Absolutely many people can come up with an alternate form factor. But can it make a difference, as in changing people's minds?

Ultimately, it is the market that determines who lives or dies. For now, Huawei needs these trade organization than they need Huawei. That 'For now' does not mean a few yrs but more like a few decades. The Chinese government can force China to adopt Huawei's products, from hardware to software, but no more outside of China's borders.
