What's new

The US is not and never will be at war with Islam: Barack Obama

I think the underlying problem is failure to understand basis human rights

a) NATO/US/UK generally feel that if the bombs go off in Muslim countries its completely ok provided we don't hear the sound
in our own country

i) Which is why bombings are done in Pakistani cities, Iraq, Afghanistan and now Libya

b) NATO / US/ UK and France feel its complete ok , for them to decide how Libya's oil will be divided (excuse me sold) to other
parties and of course the nations will charge Libya for the cost of war.

c) Muslims are told they are radicalized if they will analyses the situation , and follow what recommendations their faith makes
Law is simple for Muslims when you see atrocities you should intervene to stop bloodshed

Which is consistent with beliefs of other entities

Of course in order to make life easier on self , NATO/US/UK practices a policy to tell people look we are against 1-2 people but you all 20,000 people we will not harm you , even if there are only 2-3 soldiers...

The 20,000 people , don't realize that wanted they can kick out every one of the soldiers

Generally all policies by US , and NATO are against Muslims

a) Restrictions on Muslim businesses
b) Restrictions on Individual Muslims
c) Checking the name of individual if they had a Muslims name in past
d) Financial transaction hurdles

The list goes on and on and on......

And the solution is very simple that Muslim nations just get into defensive cooperation

Generally , all bullies and wana be heros love to act tough against weaker nations sometimes when they see a equally strong opposition they tend to send a envoy , to explain look we don't mean war we are just passing thru .... chasing some bad guys

The immediate response of the formation of United Muslim alliance will be that NATO and US will become more polite and we will hear more about the Christan - Muslim collaboration discussion in media and gradually we will not hear more about the war .....

Wars are only happening because NATO/US/UK and France behind doors have made a pact that we will share the spoils of Oil - and nothing more

In past people used to called American Indians "SAVAGES" similarly East Indian company also had slaves in India ....and list goes on and on ....

Now the terminology has changed and just the world Terrorist is used for any other person demanding their basis human rights -

Libyans , Afghans, Iraqis are now "SAVAGES , just like how once native Indians were called that"

@jbgt90

History is there to be CHANGED ....

Sometimes it just takes 1 action to unit Billions :P did you not see how people united to oust Hosani Mubarak

Imagine that level of unity to oust NATO

Not to mention if you add the fact that , Nuclear missiles and armies come in to factor as well NATO is toast

but like i asked the million dollar question is who will change it ? also dont kid your self that you can nuke any one and it will all be ok for pakistan . god forbid should you even do it .the only Pakistanis you would find, wont be living in Pakistan .

So just because the US is warring in countries which are mainly Muslim, they are at war with Islam?
They are at war with the extremists with good reason. If you want someone to blame for the last 10 years of war blame them not the US.

Why didnt UK sort IRA out like this?

You fool, look who I was quoting. Going to tell him what a 'retard' he is? No because you have some kind of hatred of the west, which, when coupled with the fact that you live in the west results in some messed up sh1t. You must hate your own existence.

Oh look at you going off topic about Cameron.
Are you going to address what I said that was on topic?

stop getting so wet and excited. Get back on topic Anyways actions speak louder than words we will see what obamas actions are

From personal observation of Obama he looks like a person who is good at giving speeches, but when it comes to making decisions he normally depends 200-500% on his advisory group , and the advisory group follows the same foreign policy since 1945 so which is why his decisions look awfully same as Bush or others.

World expected him to be a leader who would make bold decisions to end wars and bring peace instead Obama turned out to be the person who says YES to every one , and then nothing happens

His weaknesses are more elaborated when he is confronted with questions that are not planned or rehearsed

As he saw , the financial crisis that started after his support for Palestine - we notice now Obama does not speaks on the subject infact you can check the date when his support was made and approximately how soon later the world financial crisis began

His biggest failure , that US almost went to war with Pakistan , during OBL raid when it could have been done better - a foreign policy failure but Pakistan still got 50 new jets form China so real loser was US

Obama I think knows that his game is over -he turned out to be one lousy President

I thought he would be different but he was lousy , and he also messed up US medical system now it will cost 1 Trillion dollars , and Mail service will go bankrupt as they can`t pay 5 billion in salaries next month

I didn't think US was at war with Islam until he denied it, but Obama makes Orwell look like a straight talker. War is peace, Freedom is slavery, prosperity is hunger, Ignorance is truth, torture is interogation, Assasination is justice, Hope is a town in Arkansas, change is rebranding, and black is white.
Obama is simple to understand. He will do or say anything to be accepted by by power, so as not to feel he is "jus another n----r!" No big mystery. The man is empty of anything except an overpowering sense of his own worthlessness

By New York State Senator Kevin S. Parker

In recent years a movement has swelled across our nation, one that identifies Islam and the application of Islamic law as a threat to America and the Constitution. Two dozen states have introduced legislation prohibiting courts from considering or applying Islamic law in adjudicating decisions. Four states have passed legislation. An earlier iteration of a Tennessee law would effectively criminalize the practice of Islam, punishing those individuals with up to 15 years in prison.

This meteoric fear of Islam and Islamic law did not happen in a vacuum. Preying upon people's fears, certain individuals, organizations, and politicians are profiteering both politically and financially from promoting hysteria. As the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center have noted, the principal proponents include David Yerushalmi, Brigitte Gabriel, and Frank Gaffney. Yerushalmi, under the aegis of American Laws for American Courts has persuaded state legislatures to introduce his model legislation. He has a history of making racist and incendiary statements against blacks, liberal Jews, and of course Muslims. According to Yerushalmi, liberal Jews have destroyed "their host nations like a fatal parasite" and are "divorced from reality" Meanwhile, with regards to Muslims he said, "this should be a war against Islam and all Muslim faithful...at a practical level, this means that Sharia and Islamic law are immediately outlawed." He continues that observant Muslims should not be allowed to immigrate to the US and those here must be deported.

Gaffney, the head of the Center for Security Policy recently testified in support of lawsuit challenging the construction of a mosque and community center Murfeesboro, TN. Although he acknowledged under oath that he is not an expert on Sharia, Gaffney confidently asserted: "What is going on in Murfreesboro ... fits into the profile of the stealth jihad that is being waged by the Muslim Brotherhood. It's a mega-mosque that's clearly disproportionate to the community that it's intended to serve. It has the purpose of demonstrating a kind of triumphalist agenda." Yet despite his lack of qualification, he was invited to testify before the New York State Senate's Homeland Security Committee following Congressman Peter King, where Gaffney announced that Sharia is the "enemy threat-doctrine we face today" and that those who support it are committing "sedition and treason.

A number of Republican Presidential candidates have signed pledges banning Islamic law. Newt Gingrich would seek a federal ban because according to him, Sharia is "a mortal threat to the survival of freedom in the United States." In addition to banning Sharia, Hermain Cain would not appoint a Muslim and has explicitly stated that communities can ban the construction of mosques. According to Rick Santorum "creeping Sharia is a huge issue" and represents an "existential threat to America."

Thus it is not surprising that we have witnessed a spike in discrimination, bigotry and in some instances violence against Muslims and those perceived to be Muslim. Two elderly Sikh men in Sacramento were shot in March, with one tragically killed. In April, a 12 year old girl in Staten Island was attacked by classmates who asked "are you Muslim" while attempting to pull off her headscarf. Muslim discrimination comprises nearly 25% of complaints in the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, even though they are only 2% of the population. Discrimination takes other forms including the prevention of the construction of mosques and Muslim community centers. This is evidenced by the fact that of the 24 cases brought by the Justice Department pursuant to the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act, 14 have been brought this past year alone.

It is clear that the anti-Sharia movement seeks to isolate American Muslims and portray them as foreign. David Yerushalmi has said as much with regards to his immigration views. However, history informs us that Muslims have a long-standing relationship with this land that pre-dates Columbus. Muslim ships and traders traveled to the shores and millions more came on board slave ships. Many are familiar with Alex Haley's famous work Roots and the story of his ancestor Kunta Kinte. According to scholars, Kunta Kinte was born in Gambia in 1750 and was learned in the Quran. There is also Abdul-Rehman Ibrahim ibn Sori whose life we know through the research of Professor Terry Alford and Alex Kronemer's PBS documentary "Prince Among Slaves." A prince from Fouta Djallon in West Africa, who after 40 years in enslavement was freed by President John Quincy Adams in 1828. The reality is that many of the first Muslims did not come here by choice but they helped build this nation.

Given the vitriol and hostility towards Muslims today, it may surprise some to learn that the earliest leaders of our nation had a respect for Islam. Thomas Jefferson owned a copy of the Quran, which sits in the Library of Congress today. In fact, in 2007, our nation's first Muslim Congressman, Keith Ellison, took his ceremonial oath on Jefferson's Quran. The forty-four foot marble walls of the United States Supreme Court Chamber are lined with sculptures of the law givers of human history including: Hammurabi, Moses, Confucius, and Muhammad. One of our nation's earliest treaties established the context of America's view of Muslims. Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli, ratified by the Senate on June 7, 1797 and signed into law by President Adams on June 10th reads: "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws,
religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen (Muslims)..."

Unfortunately, those who peddle hate lack a basic understanding not only of the history of Muslims in America, but also the Constitution of the United States. In targeting the adherents of one faith they seek to undermine one of most basic tenets for the founding of this great nation: religious freedom. Thus far the only major Republican figure to challenge this mantra is Governor Chris Christie, who in response to allegations that his nominee for Superior Court judge Sohail Mohammed would bow to Sharia said, "This Sharia law business is crap. It's just crazy, and I'm tired of dealing with the crazies. It's just unnecessary to be accusing this guy of things just because of his religious background." The GOP would do well to heed his warning.

its funny how we "muslims" say again and again that the terrorist's "muslim believes" are not muslims and are infact kafar, and then we defend the war against them.. i mean come on we fail to unite on what day to celebrate eid on and you guys are talking about united all muslim countries... U.S is not war with muslims here, you know...if you believe that than you must also be believing that those suicide bombers are muslims too!
and in 50-100 years we will not have your so called minerals (oil) anymore..what would you say then, US wants our sand?
