well i beg to differ with you there.. Americans aint gonna cut and run this time. They are well aware of what happened last time and wouldnt want a repeat now.. But on the other hand thats exactly what you'd want right? Americans would cut and run. It'd civil war and anarchy.. Taliban will take over and you will again have your strategic depth right?

It's not about cutting and running, it's about how long can they last, and we know the Taliban can go on for another generation killing or maiming American forces and outlast the American in their own country, so the question is how much longer can America gamble all their debt money on Afghanistan and not find an escape route from it, the answer is not much longer.

Hey appreciate your reply. I'm just trying to understand this. USA got into their house, killed many of them and still killing. USA is ready to fight but these Talibani fighters are hiding and not showing up, then how does USA lose in this case?

So you say that wars are won by body count ?
Look at how many North Vietnamese were killed and how many American serviceman were killed in the Vietnam war....
When you are outnumbered... out gunned... better to use guerrilla tactics than fight a regular war.
