What's new

The US dollar will be easy to collapse

Instead of dreaming of USD/INR collapse , one should concentrate on making PKR strong!!

.
These trends are cyclic; USA will fix these issues well in time, I am sure.

Are sure as you would when you said transit routes to afghan would be reopened in 7 days and then 30 days and then you went quite on that thread.

Because my point is easy to say in a discussion you are sure because you have used this type of argument before and been wrong. So I assert that also what you think may be wrong and america will not be able to pull itself out

................The US dollar will be easy to collapse: all that is needed is for the mainstream media to yell, “The dollar is hyper-inflated!!” and the Naked Emperor Dollar will fall swiftly.

It was good to hear a western journo admitting the truth.........................

Actually, the "truth" that is being "admitted" here is the overwhelming power of the "mainstream media", not that the dollar is at any risk.

I will take up the supply routes issue again, at the appropriate time, in the correct thread, not here. It does look like it will take 30 days to re-open them, so yes, my estimate was wrong.

Similarly, if the dollar is in any real danger, I will openly admit it too. It is NOT, presently.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling! NOT.

I am happy to report that the dollar is still alive and well, and kicking the rear ends of all other currencies today.

Over and out! :D

sorry, USD just lost ground again to RMB, going from 1:6.35 to 1:6.33

hell, it lost ground to the freaking Euro.

gold prices are moving up again, with only slight fluctuation in late november.

.
not so sure? good you admit you are wrong lol

I evaluate new evidence as it becomes available, without prejudice.

I just do not see any logical reason to believe the restless campaign against US financials at present; in fact, it speaks volumes about your prejudices than making any intelligent points for discussion.

Thats not true Ive put numerous threads about the demise of american dollar and most of the time you dont analyse you just say you think this you think that without analysing the merit of what is being stated. Just like you misjudged and thought supply routes would bee reopened first you said soon then 30 days, and now you say you reevaluate. instead of saying yes i was wrong i am not all knowing. dont you think asims description of your posts as bongis was accurate and funny??

You said all currencies. INR isn't the only currency in the world. It isn't even close to being the most important.

Against almost all major currencies and commodities, USD is depreciating.

My posts speak for themselves, as do yours. ;)

The dollar will stay in its position of reserve currency for the foreseeable future.

So? That float is very well managed.

Dollar will reign supreme as long as Dollar is the Reserve Currency. However , the Mighty Dollar will collapse like a house of cards the day it stops remaining the World's Reserve Currency. When Dollar is no longer the Reserve currency, the US govt. will lose the ability to payoff debt by simply printing Dollars. They would have to buy the reserve currency in the open market to payoff international debt and it would not matter how many dollars they print because the more dollars they print the more the Dollar will lose its exchange rate with the new reserve currency.

It would appear that your position has changed when i stated that the tipping point would be reached within 10 years you suggested 30 years plus. in finance term the forseeable future is around 12 months.

Wrong. The valuation of the dollar is independent of oil. That article is dated 2005 with the belief that everyone will be switching to the euro. Is the euro the safe haven today? Epic fail.

Exactly. Both the Euro and the ToB are in the ICU, for good reasons. The dollar still rules.

That is pure Garbage, Vcheng.

Dollar has lost atleast 25% to japanese Yen.

Dollar typically traded at 110 Yen few years ago.

Last time I checked it was down to 78 Yen.

The comparison with Chinese Yuan is inappropriate because Chinese find it advantageous to keep the value of Yuan low because of Export orientation of their Economy.

Comparison with Euros and Pound Sterling is also not useful because their Economies are in a bigger Shithouse than ours.
