The Untold story of Pakistan's Communist Movement.

It's a pity that our left was deliberately and ruthlessly crushed during our history and unfortunately we've never accepted nor allowed this discussion to be given the attention that it deserves. I've been meaning to do a piece, 'The Death of Left in Pakistan' but time thesedays is just extremely short.
No brother , no party affiliations at all .

Actually, USSR did not follow the Marxian or even Lenin's chosen path. Sadly, a number of factors detracted the movement away from the philosophy. There are wonderful critiques of the matter available online.
If you have read the manifesto then you clearly haven't researched the structure of government in the USSR. take a look at soviet Russia's constitution. Read up on the history of the power struggles within the party.the soviet constitution didn't outline any sort of government structure except for giving the party almost absolute authority, and even though it did well outlining individual rights and freedoms, there was no mechanism to keep the party from denying the people their rights. It's quite obvious to anyone who studies communism, that the vast majority of bad things about it, stem from the fact that the nation is controlled by one party and all others are outlawed.this leads to corruption, censorship, oppression, ignoring the social contract, genocide, incompetent bureaucracy and everything in between.

Marx stated many times that communism required democracy. The word "Soviet" means congress, or worker's council. Communism was supposed to be representative and directly democratic, with aspects of federalism and checks and balances. It was, essentially, supposed to be a new vision of democracy. instead we got this weird autocracy not too diferent from Fascism because Lenin got a little too paranoid about influence from other competing socialst parties. So he outlawed them and went around killing them. Then a really nasty narcissistic dictator took power after him amd took advantage of these mechanisms, and the whole idea has been fu-Cked up and misunderstood(for the better or worse) ever since because the dictators have used this perverted system and called it "Socialist Democracy".

Communism in Pakistan would be a catastrophy primarily because of the feudal elite who would enevitably cease power and instead of a utopia you'll end up with USSR 2.0, and that comrade, would essentially be the final nail in the coffin for Pakistan and it's people.Jo hai usi say kaam chalao.

Which is precisely my point. The Soviets tried and failed, to attempt such a thing in a country Like Pakistan would be nothing short of folly. Mind you, we are talking about a country where everyone with some political clout aspires to be an Amir ul Momineen. Fact of the matter is that communism will never be tried in the way it was meant to be, therefore the only way to judge communism would be with regards to those states that put the idea into practice before (i.e it's semantics). Equal rights for the proletariat is a necessity, but they can be achieved within the framework of the current system.

Failure of Russians in implementing socialism properly is not the failure of socialism itself . Assuming that "communism will never be tried in the way it was meant to be" , results from the fact that our minds are shaped by the capitalist institutions and structure of society . And that is the main problem with trying to figure out implementation of socialism in the status quo . To counter the influence of far right in Pakistan (Mullahs) , we need a strong left . After all any deadly acid can only be neutralized by adding some `alkaline base` to it !! .
According to Marxism, capitalism is a system based on the exploitation of the proletariat by the bourgeoisie , Achieving equal rights for proletariat within the framework of current system in Pakistan is practically impossible .

Actually, the reason why Socialism if not Communism found more success in China than USSR is a topic of hot debate and it seems that because the Chinese revolution saw a ground up action of the majority marginalised section rather than a mixture of forces as Russia did the versatility of the two systems becomes apparent. Pakistan has no way out rather than a socialist model , which is the base of all welfare/community oriented democracies. The sharing of resources on the basis of societal need. Now going overboard about it is one thing but writing it away is entirely another.

The diversification, investment of state organs of facility (police, public eduction which is good, health care) and labour protection is the corner stone of development. The socialist position is that it is not a necessity to have a surplus to do that.
