There are always experiments and research work in various dimensions. If you are referring to large hydron collider, that's all about research on sub atomic structure of matter, without any discovery all is theory and beliefs. However engineers and scientists are already able to run atoms in collider, faster than light! and yet no one disappeared to time and space and neither will any one. We'll all continue to live in this world and time.

We are already running mass greater than speed of light... why is it not disappearing into another dimension?

Basically... the experiment is all about research on sub atomic particles of matter, at least this is what is officially claimed:

Now how we can establish links.... theory= energy packed in time space!
Space= no gravity i.e. anti gravity... anti matter right?
Now hydron collider is trying to create anti matter and presence of such matter on earth would exert anti gravitational force.
We also know every rotating mass exerts gravity and we can feel the situation by rotating any mass in opposite to the earth's rotation.. we can practically feel the anti gravity right here on earth.
This was simple explanation... complications would better be explained by some physicst in house!
Which would explain the bending of what ever due to gravity of earth and what would result or comeout by slowing the speed of earth's rotation.
What is driving this research can be any one's guess, but scientists are working with positive spirits.

However, I don't buy into time travel theories, in other words I only believe what I know or understand or convinced of.
I'm always open to listen logical explanations and definitions, but please two words does not serve any purpose.

Hydrogen nuclei are running at speed of light in hydron collider.
I have not seen it but I can believe it.
I don't even remember the names of sub atomic particles, I was attending a presentation, which was all in German.
However, they have instruments which can detect any charged particle in space.

With all due respect sir , I am sure you have made some error in your interpretation of the German presentation, hydrogen nuclei do not move at the speed of light, you seriously need to take a course in relativistic mechanics. If what you have stated is true then our understanding of physics would be turned upside down and around, we would have to recalculate the age of the universe, the distance to stars, the way we calibrate electronics, GPS ,nuclear weapons etc.

So I guess this mean that the theories we accept today will be considered either as "wrong" or "obsolete" in the future.

Anyways, with this being proven, maybe in the next century, FTL travel could be invented, given that someone or some entity will be willing to invest in making such technological development.

To quote your good self dear Ottoman "I have no reason to disbelieve", well I suggest that you just put the rest mass of any subatomic particle (or for that matter any object with mass) and it's velocity into that equation and see what happens, you will see that their is a directly proportional relationship between the increase in velocity and the increase in mass. In simple English the faster your velocity the more your mass you gain, and to get to c (lightspeed) m will become infinite
