The United States is concerned about the harassment and arrest of opposition activists

bhosdi walo, idhar bhi nazar-e-karam kar lo, Pakistan me. lut payi he ithay

@SIPRA
What is your problem with the USA? Has Pakistan already paid back a $32 billion loan to the USA already?

If so, congratulations!!! If not, do not talk big as if your country is the boss of this world.

.
.
All such things are done, in the geopolitical interests of US, because their leaders, whether political or military, are not traitors, like ours.
Yes, it may serve the US geopolitics interest. But, meanwhile, the US actions will bring back democracy in BD. Pakistan has full democracy. BD none.

I think BNP wants a showdown on 10 December. Otherwise, why call a gathering on the Dhaka roads instead of a field?

Gathering on roads is unlawful in any country. If it is a BNP showdown, let us see how people can gather when all Dhaka roads will be blocked by the Police and BAL activists.

BNP will lose ground if it fails to organize the gathering in Naya Paltan BNP head office.
As of today, BNP has changed its stance on the Naya Paltan road gathering. It has agreed to change the venue. Let us wait for the final news.

. .
Suddenly venue change declaration by Barkatullah Bulu and few other BNP leaders , and later at 3 am Mirza Fakhrul and Mirza Abbas was picked by DB! 🤔

Description by his ( Fakhrul) wife!

Every time I think you cannot get any more unhinged - you outdo nut casery…..
Boltu Mia, what happened to your upper chamber? Is it still empty because of the heavy shock you rcvd by American sanctions?

Please ask Hasina Bibi to kill and make the forced disappearances of opposition politicians. But, know that after the election, military people will arrest her for conspiring to kill 57 military officers.

Wait for only just a few more months.

You are like a village mullah praying for the end times - it’s hilarious!

Every morning you wake up with hope but goto bed disappointed 🤣🤣😂😂😂

Btw, BD military officers have been killing each other ever since they were formed. What’s so special about the 57? Zia and Ershad killed hundreds 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂

Donkeys think that democracy is a good thing in a developing country.

Let their butt hurt continue as BD will continue with its quasi-dictatorship model all throughout this decade at least.

They have absolutely no idea just how different BD is to the rest of the region and how it is leapfrogging one country after another in the region - only Sri Lanka to go and then BD will have the highest per capita gdp in the region.

Monkey, you should know BD needs no thief like Hasina. A thief must be removed through a fair election.

You must vote for her. Otherwise, she may lose her seat.

BD definitely does not need a poorly educated twat like you hurling bricks 🧱

What BD needs is another Sylheti finance minister.

I nominate @UKBengali

You can carry his bag 💼

The United States has expressed concern over the harassment and arrest of opposition political leaders and activists in Bangladesh. The country's Foreign Office spokesman Ned Price said in a briefing in Washington on Tuesday local time that his country is concerned about the crackdown on peaceful gatherings of opposition parties.

"We call on all political parties to respect the rule of law and refrain from violence, harassment, and intimidation," Ned Price said.

Ned Price also said, "We call on the government to ensure that no political party or candidate can be threatened, incited, or used to cause violence against another party or candidate."

Regarding the impartial elections in Bangladesh, the spokesperson of the US State Department said, 'To organize a meaningful election, candidates must be given the opportunity to communicate with voters without violence, harassment, and fear. At the same time, I encourage the government to ensure a full, transparent and impartial investigation into the incidents of violence and exemplary punishment of those responsible for these incidents.

In the briefing, Ned Price also said, 'We will call on all parties in Bangladesh to respect the rule of law. At the same time violence, harassment and intimidation should not be done. I will tell the Bangladesh government that all parties can conduct their activities without any form of harassment or intimidation. Besides, I call on the government to ensure a credible, impartial, and transparent investigation into the incidents of torture, violence, and intimidation against opposition activists.

In response to a question, the spokesperson of the US State Department said, "We are aware of the case filed under the Digital Security Act against three people, including Pinaki Bhattacharya. We have made our concerns about this law clear. We have also dealt with this in our human rights report. There has also been an open discussion with the Bangladesh government about our concerns.
Why not in India where situation is even worst than BD

. .

The cat is out of the bag it seems - jamaat (prob with BNP assistance) bought cases against RAB in BD.

I mentioned before that there are far worse offenders in the region - and I couldn't understand why BD was being targeted. Some speculated it was India or US strong arming BD about russian war.

But it turned out to be a petty, power hungry act of habitual troublemakers to hurt the trade and economy of their own motherland.

These super well-funded mullahs in the west are experts at subverting the Western legal system.

Nothing more to be expected from descendents of razakars.
