Ironically we call refugee Chinese in Vietnam as người tàu (boat men). Chinese girls as boat girls. He he.

oh, well, there are a lot of Chinese refugee in Australia, US and EU, I don't see them talking about it.

Being a refugee is not something to be ashamed of, you are being persecuted by your own government, you have to leave, that's quite natural, but being a economic immigrant like many Chinese did, on the other hand, is willingly become second class citizens just because they can't earn enough money back home.

How many Chinese have their head held down and work odd jobs in the US, Australia or Germany (you will know), doctor in China working as a dishwasher in the back alley of a Chinese restaurant, Engineer in China working as a Delivery driver in the street of Australia.

That's something people really need to think about if they were to talk about slaves LOL.

Because boat people love everything white!

They are thankful to their masters killing their family, poisoning their children, ruining their land.

He is a member of the protected group here and all Chinese members knows it. They are exempted from most forum rules. This forum wants/needs the traffic and the Chinese members provides it. They have the forum by the balls.

in case people don't want to troll, this news is about US resident (not yet US citizen) who hold Vietnam Refugee status WHOM HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD OR OTHERWISE VIOLATED VISA AGREEMENT IN THE US.

Those people cannot be deported before because US labelled Vietnam as a hostile country and will not be deporting or sending people back if they will face political persecution, even if they violate the US Visa condition by breaking the law or engage in illegal activities, but now talks in progress to deport those who have refugee status but have violated US Visa condition to be deported.

If a Chinese holding immigrant or non-immigrant visa, he/she will be deported at once if he/she violating the visa condition (such as overstay or committed a crime) this is just so people who hold refugees status have the same treatment.

If you ask me, you deserve to go if you break the rules in the US and not a US citizens, I don't care where you are from China or Vietnam.

but hey, that's just for people who aren't trolling.

Lots of chinese here in the West despite high skilled get limited contracts with low pays. I can understand when many return to China. A communist paradise. No wonder Chinese hate the West. I know a Pakistani, who once worked for Huawei. He told me Chinese companies probably are the worst, he ever worked for, with slavery low pay and long working hours. Never again. Ha ha.

My mother did NOT APPLY REFUGEE STATUS IN THE US, she was granted refugee status in Australia (That is why I am here in Sydney now) I was born in the US, so US government can deport all Chinese/Vietnamese refugee for all they care, that won't affect me at all.

Most Chinese company is like this, even in the west, they tend to break labor contract a lot (Just about a few months ago, a few Chinese own company in Australia was found guilty of underpaying their employee) not to mention that is a norm in most Chinese operate store/restaurant that pay cash, some pay as low as $10 an hour when the lowest cap is $26 by law. I once go undercover and work in a Chinese Restaurant and pretend i am a student come from Hong Kong, they pay me $100 a day and I have to work 9 hours, from 11 to 9 (that's $11 an hour), led to the ombudsman arresting the owner of that Chinese Restaurant. And most of these Chinese company did not adhere to 40 hours work week limit, most work 60 hours, especially Chinese restaurant. 9 hours a day and I only get 1 day off. Which mean 9 x 6 = 54 works hours per week.

What I don't understand is why the Chinese member here did not talk about that, which imo bring great shame to Chinese as an identity, and care about whether or not Vietnamese will be deported.

What for? Just like the other Chinese on this forum, he takes delight in casting his comments in racist and racialist perspectives. They were raised that way. that's because I have a Hong Kong Chinese passport and a 3 star Hong Kong ID card and unlike Dragon, I actually have Hukou and I have a house and a factory in Dongguan, I am pretty sure I can apply for Chinese Passport (the red mainland Chinese one, not the blue Hong Kong one) if I am willing to give up my US, Australia, Swedish, British Citizenship. I can live in China for an indefinite amount of time and I can buy and sell houses in China, Dragon cannot (Unless rules has changed since I left Hong Kong in 1999/2000)

My mother was born in Vietnam by a Chinese parent during WW2, and live in China with her parent after WW2, that is why she have Hukou and can buy/sell house in China, and that is why when me and my brother and sister was born, we were added by the register (which is her uncle), back then you can do that when you have money to pay off people.

My mother went back to Vietnam in 1960s in her 20s and during the Vietnam war, she met my father who is a US Sailor stationed in Pleiku, however, he rotate home before they can get married, long story short, she left Vietnam for Hong Kong and stayed in refugee camp since 1972, and my dad some how had track her down and married her in Hong Kong, but before she was granted US residence, her application for asylum is taken up by the UN and Australia offer her the visa, she went to Australia (rather, forced on a plane to Australia), landed and granted Permanent Resident. And then she was granted US visa just before I was born, and I was born in the US.

In Mainland Chinese official eyes, I was born in Dongguan, China, in Hong Kong Official eyes, I was a Hong Kong resident of Chinese Descent, in British government eyes, I was a British Overseas Citizen of mixed race, hence I was reclassified as British Overseas National, instead of British National Overseas where many Hongkonger belong to. In American eyes, I was born in Kansas, USA, in Swedish government eyes, I was married to a Swede, in Australian government eyes, I was a son of a Vietnamese Refugee.

HK used to hold lots of boat people, a source of dirty and crime.
Even today, many of them who remain there are criminals, rapists, welfare beggars...
