An indigenous project remains indigenous, no matter how many foreign parts it has, that's why Gripen remains to be a Swedish fighter, even if it has such high ammounts of foreign parts. And in fact, it is even better to have not 100% indigenous parts, because then you compromise on capability in favour for indigenous techs only, instead of chosing the best or most suitable. LCA might not have an indigenous radar and engine as initially dreamed by DRDO, but that workes actually for it and not against it, since the proven and capable EL2032 and GE404 will only make it more capable and reliable.

Engines, or techs from the US will always remain an issue wrt sanctions or restrictions, but the the cost and navalised version were factors that were more important than the risks, not to mention that the Kaveri as mentioned is still planned for LCA in future. So even if the Indian production line of the engine might face problems, the long term choice remains to be the indigenous alternative (if it offers suitable performance and reliability).

well guess what we are not devloping LCA for export right now first it will have to cater to IAF and IN and maybe IA in near future + we dont have to worry about spares till we have money ... hope you get the point sir

Apart from European avionics in JF 17, Brazilian ARM and I read recently that the refuelling probe could be from S. Africa. And as you said as well, most parts are Chinese, which however is as reliable to Pakistan as Israel is to India, therefor Israel radar, or weapons won't be an issue for LCA either. Especially since the we all know than Indian radar, and weapons will be integrated for sure, as soon as they are mature enough (Astra, Sudarshan, most likely Helina).
