Well if INDIA really attacked PAKISTAN, it would have solved one problem for us. All the national crisis & the civil strife would have been over in a day with both MILITANTS & ARMY at once finding a common foe .NRO-ians booted out of power.

really? do you have any idea of concept of conflict escalation and management, something taught to all higher ranking officers who actually command the army and something that is taken into account as a guiding principle in any conflict especially in a scenario where the potential of the conflict to encompass a nuclear component is extremely vast?

That usage of ballastic missile will be an escalation to a nuclear level, nobattlefield commander can afford it. As long as Pakistan has a first use policy, it is impossible to use ballastic missiles in a normal way. So leave your seconds theory out, no military commander will escalate to nuclear level at all .....
