The Slowing of Two Economic Giants

Dont start it again.:hitwall: Can you guys do anything apart from quoting economic numbers??? Do you even mumble them in your sleep???

And yes, Chinese products are third rate. Even a villager will tell you that. And we dont believe your GDP numbers either. Your whole "economic miracle" is a sordid saga of illegal subsidies, unfair trade practices and dishonest currency manipulations.

And, even though you may have got a few pennies in your pocket of which you are mighty proud, you still remain an authoritarian, closed and highly repressive country with zero freedom and a horrible dictatorship. The reason why the west is giving you the kids glove treatment is because you put all those trash toys in their supermarkets so that the corporates are solidly behind you.

Erm, the way I was taught, a well thought out argument and publication of any respectable kind must be supported by hard data. Argument is nice and all, but data reflects what is actually happening in the real world.

As for Chinese growth, the percentage increase will likely gradually slow down. This is because world's market has a limited size. Currently China accounts for roughly 1/4 of the total manufacturing values in the world and expending the market share will get more and more challenging since the other economies will be backed into a corner. However, in term of absolute growth, the Chinese economy is only going faster, especially as Chinese companies grabbing more and more shares in the high tech markets.

Can we stop those BS threads? gee, I have never ever read a Chinese article comparing India and China but I don't understand why there are so many such articles in international media.

I have been fed with such articles for at least 5 years with the same reasons regurgitated over and again!

1. China is authoritarian regime! India is messy democracy! Then describe fantastic attributes of a functioning democracy.
2. China is on steroid while India is all about steady and healthy growth!
2. China reformed 20 years earlier than India, so it's only natural for China to lead. Well, granted it's true, for how long should China lead?
3. China is all about export, India is consumer driven market! China depends on outsiders while India only benefits its people!
4. All hail mighty democracy that can rein in on corruption while China just let corrupted officials run rampant.
5, In the long run, India wins! Yes, in the long run, aliens might invade Earth!

Those so called opinions read more like political campaign speeches than honest assessments of reality.

This is a economic thread and we are having essentially a economic argument. How are you going to argue economics without quoting economic numbers ? I understand that you don't like the economic numbers because the economic numbers makes India look bad. Instead you prefer to use speculation and prejudice by arguing your favorite and only mantra "that everything coming out of China is fake".

As for the quality of Chinese products is concerned you get what you paid for. If the buyers wants to constantly lower the prices then you will have to accept lower quality as well. And if India makes top quality goods under reasonable prices backed up by innovation and craftsmanship as many Indians here wants us to believe. Which they themselves believe in as well. If that's the case then the brand "Made in India" will sell itself around the world. But India's large and growing trade and current account deficit is suggesting that notion of India is but a mirage.

And India is free ? Where tens of millions are working as slaves in bondage labor, perhabs hundreds of millions are facing cast discrimination, about a quarter of the population (nearly 300 million people) is suffering from malnourishment. Where everyone from Maoist, Kashmiri's, Assami's and many others are facing repression from the military and security forces every day. And if India is so free liberal and just then why are there so many people in India picking up arms to fight the Indian state ?

Its called living in denial.

I'm sorry, when was a $1.8 trillion economy, about the size of Canada, smaller than Italy, an "economic giant"?

Does the $200 billion larger economy of Italy consist of an economic giant? If not, then India most certainly is not.

lol discussing economy without quoting proper economic statistics````what a low IQ creature and keeps making fun of yourself``

as I suggested before, if you have got enough money (which I really doubt), apply for visas, go outside the slum to experience what the real world like````let me tell you kid, the real world is not very kind to delusional Indians, especially those raged Indians who are in China now``

an extremely ignorant tool is what I have to call you (and that 007 guy too)
