What's new

The Sikh Empire is not "ours"

you are gujjar who often came with excuses to bring his gujjarness in it, you have no role in it

muslim punjabi who fought with ranjit singh were also same people, only gakhars , arain and muslim jatts fought

have you forget chattian di var a famous poem written in persian and translated into punjabi

Bhangi misl fought with muslim Chattha Jatts of Gujranwala under Ghulam Muhammad khan Chattha and descendants of Dulla Bhatti of Hafizabad fought Ranjit Singh as well

muslim warraich fought with ranjit singh whose grandmother was also warraich from gujranwala daughter of Sardar Amir Singh Waraich
the Bhangi Misl (Dhillon Jatts ) over possesion of Gujrat/Kharian while Warraichs muslim jatts under chaudhry Rehmat Khan warraich were allied with Adina Khan Arain, who also had Sikh allies like Nihan Singh Randhawa from Nili Bar and Jamwal Hindu Rajas, so its not religion specific. Chatthas also had Afghans allies, after Gujjar Singh dhillon and Janda Singh Bhangi extorted Zamzama gun from Chatthas, Jan Muhammad Chattha allied with Durranis of Kabul and took back Rasulnagar Chatha, Alipur Chatha and other territories that were lost to Bhangi Misl in Gujranwala area
Rehmat Khan Warraich's son Hayat Khan actually was allied with Zaman Shah Durranis general, Ahmed Shahanchibashi in an attempt to oust the Bhangi Misl from the Sandal Bar and Islamgarh Fort
in sandal bar areas local muslim jaat tribes , kharals, watoo and other fought with ranjit singh army

punjab region demographic are very complex and you can't just say them versus us as you will be putting down ethnicities living in Pakistan
ranjit singh was local punjabi king and that's all matter

Ladakh was not a traditional part of Kashmir but an extension of Tibet. Sikhs occupied Ladakh in 1834 and further invaded into Tibet 1840. They were pushed back by the Tibetan army of Qing court. It's part of Opium war against China. A cease fire agreement was made by the Sikhs,Ladakhs and Tibetans in 1842. In 1846-47 the British swallowed Sikh territory as well as Ladakh.

It is part of our history and we have to accept it, but I don't really relate to the Sikh empire that much. It's like asking the Arab Jews and Christians of the Arabian peninsula if they're proud of the Islamic empire.
