pakistani Soldiers performed far worse than americans in somalia.
Atleast 25 pakistani soldiers were killed in a single ambush with some reports saying that they were skinned alive.
What do you mean performed "badly"?
Pakistani troops, lightly armed I might add, went for a routine check on authorised safe areas for militias to store their arms. A massive crowd of civilians had gathered there, whipped up by Aidid's men, both to act as a distraction and as cover. The crowd was told that the UN forces were going to shut down a radio station. Our troops were confronted with rocks, knives and anything else the crowd had. During this mayhem the regular armed militia of Aidid opened fired from the crowd and neighbouring buildings with machine guns, RPG's and other assault weapons. How could soldiers react to a situation that went from civilians to an all out battle, with a milita in hiding, that they were not expecting? As troops fired back civilians died, not that Aidid was concerned with that. We still took the building and then destroyed the station and arm caches.
No one was skinned alive, they did mutilate bodies, but that's the barbaric nature of such militia. The same also happened to US troops. These men sacrificed their lives for the betterment of a people who till this day have remained in a state of war. 160 UN troops in total lost their lives in UNOSOM.
You might want to read some books on the situation. There is a good one written By Andrzej Sitkowski, called UN Peacekeeping: myth and Reality.
Would you say India's troops have performed badly during historic UN operations than Pakistan's? After all they have lost more troops than Pakistan has, even though Pakistan has had far greater numbers of troops operating.

As to the answer who has performed "badly" no one has. Each solider died for a noble cause and a cause far from their own homelands. Every mission is different, the dynamics of combat are often blurred as many times you are not fighting a clear cut enemy.
fake similar to somalia raid when Pakistan soldiers save these americans from somali militants but they took the credit and made a movie called Black Hwak down showing that they themself fought all the militants what a lie
Bro the story has been documented by many authentic accounts and evidence. The US lost 19 men but left hundreds dead in their wake. Yes the part regarding the Pakistani UN troops was omitted, but then that is Hollywood. It should be down to Pakistan's entertainment industry to show the film of our heroes.
