In the flood of often superficial and anecdotal information about the conflict between Israel and Hamas that apply to us, the appeal of the Minister of Foreign Affair Saudi Islamic world to recognize Israel as a legitimate State has not received the attention it deserves ...

Speaking at the World Assembly of Muslim scholars held in Jeddah, Prince Saud bin Faisal Al Saud reiterated that the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, the terrorist group Hamas, incites war between Israelis and Palestinians and asked the Arab world to reject Hamas as the representative of the Palestinian people.

During the current conflict between Israel and Hamas King Abdullah and Saudi media have criticized Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal and his. Political scientist Norman Bailey speaks of " political reconciliation "between Israel and Egypt, Saudi Arabia and some Gulf states that all are subject to the same threats.

This was debunked a while ago, this is why only half assed sources blog likes remain which are not sources by the way, like this quote here:

"This week, Saudi King Abdullah blamedHamas for the 50-day war between the terror entity and the State of Israel. Abdullah said: “It is shameful and disgraceful that these terrorists [Hamas] are doing this in the name of religion, killing the people, whose killing Allah has forbidden, and mutilating their bodies, and feeling proud in publishing this. They have distorted the image of Islam with its purity and humanity and smeared it with all sorts of bad qualities by their actions, injustice, and crimes.”"

They put it in brackets when in fact he was clearly talking about ISIS, how stupid do you have to get to misinterpret it as Hamas? Maybe as stupid as Ceylal, he clearly fits the stupidty mark. any more BS any of you want to throw?

His statement is disgusting. And I acknowledge the part of recognizing Israel isn't true. Nevertheless, that statement is uncalled for. I hear a lot of rumors that KSA wants to bring back Umayyad Caliphate. I don't get how they have a stance on Palestine like this if they truly believe in Muslim unity. They support it against Assad/Iran/Hezbollah no matter how many people die in Syria.

When journalists put things between brackets it means that it was not really stated but the journalist is filling the blanks with their own interpretations. So while the rest of the statement was true the part between the brackets was that journalist taking creative liberty to put words in the mouth of the original speaker.

Little something about articles that you need to learn.

I was watching the statement live and pretty sure it was referring to ISIS. There's no way that statement could possibly refer to Hamas.

It was a very awkward live press by King Abdullah(suppsoedly, although wasn't his voice).

If Israel accepts 67' borders, and give complete sovereignty to Palestinians in Gaza, E.Jerusalem, and West Bank..then there's no harm in recognizing Israel.

Islamic World already agrees to this and has offered Israel the normalization if Israel goes back to 67' borders.

It is barbaric state of Israel that keep refuses to make peace by continuing its illegal colonization of Palestinians in Gaza, West Bank, and East Jerusalem.

I applaud the Saudis, they are being the bigger man. Stop this nautanki (tamasha for all you Arabic speakers) and recognize each other.
