The sad story of 'Fayaz' the talented plane maker

He was a son of dead Army soldier. As mentioned, he got all sensitive information from father. Also he flew it many times.

Please listen to his neo news interview, he says :-

He went to the top officials to see his project and give permission to fly, but all said we don't deal with any such thing.

They said go to CAA buy license, training for "lacs" and then fly it.

Please tell me, what should you do if u have a glider in home, CAA won't allow you till you get a PPL, CPL etc license for > 50,00,000 rs

and you made plane from 80,000rs just ?????

Im sure "army soldiers" dont know how to build planes. Why would such people be on the front-line?

Its good news that we have people who are trying but police did a right thing he sud have been getting premission from some kind of Government body who are expert in this field or els he might fall with no protection on someones head to kill himself and them.

The thing like making a plane of such qualities :-

1) engine of a road cutter
2) body from scrap (use less or cheap material)

3) runs on Petrol
4) 10litre capacity, flight for approx 2hrs
ie from lhr to Faisalabad
5) worth, cost :- 80000pkr
6) easy to handle, land, fly etc (he did without experience)

What else do we want for a light trainer or even for making personal plane of cost equal to a bike

Makes me feel ashamed of my country's administration.

Talent is thrown to trash. And corruption is held from every danger of extinction.

My bad wishes for all who tortured him mentally or physically

Openly saying.
The officers who arrested him or fined him, must drown themselves in a cup of water

That's what enemy wants from us.
He is no inventor but a copy paste fanboy who used inter and google to built copter which is cheaply available in western countries.

Under current scenario where we have block our airspace for even commercial flight and SAMS are ready to shoot down any unidentified plane, why the hell he try to fly without approval....

Stop worshiping water car engineers.

This guy is lucky.

He has a Moslem name and comes from Moslem family and tried to do something with electronics, fuel and metal. He knows that the government has strict policy against Moslems who challenge the writ of the State.

He should be monitored by drones and chips should be implanted. He also visits the Mosques.

He was not booked for making or inventing new tech they arrest him for illegally flying it .and he was released with 3000 rupee fine . Koi phansi nhi charda diya . If he has passion he should also educate himself for laws and regulations . So many people in pakistan made planes gyrocrafts etc they are flying them no one arrest them

Mohammad Fayaz has become the talk of town for building a small aircraft at his house in Pakpattan.
The flight didn’t go as he planned because he was stopped by the police. He used the metal link road as a runway to take off on his maiden flight and took several rounds in the air before being arrested.
“I have wanted to become a pilot since I was a child,” he told SAMAA TV. “I wanted to be recruited in the Pakistan Air Force.”
One of his teachers, Yaqoob sahab, a retired subedar, used to tell him stories of what happens during the Army recruitment process and that used to fascinate him a lot.

His father was a supervisor at Ittefaq Sugar Mills. “Whenever I got the time, I used to sit with my father and ask him how machines worked.
“My dad would always tell me that I am very smart and that I will definitely become a pilot,” he shared.
Life, however, had a different plan for Fayaz. When he was in class nine, his father became unwell. “I had to leave my studies and start earning for the family.” He even had to sell his four Kanal land. His father passed away and he had to take up the responsibility of earning for his family.
“I took on the role but I never let my passion die,” he said.
He started selling popcorn in the morning and then worked as a security guard at the University of Lahore at night. “I earned Rs15,000 working as a security guard and saved that money to build my aircraft.”
He had already saved Rs50,000 from before.
Fayaz soon started working on the aircraft. “I would save my two months salaries and then buy the engine or some other part of the plane.” It took me a year to build it, he said. It cost him Rs90,000.
The plane works on petrol, he explained.
The plane has the engine of a road cutter which Fayaz bought for Rs33,000. It runs on petrol and the capacity of its fuel tank is 10 litres. The plane can fly for continuous two to three hours, he said. “This is more than enough to take it to Lahore or Faisalabad.”
Fayaz has requested Prime Minister Imran Khan and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa to take notice of police capturing his plane. “I want the chance to improve on my design.”
‘Police made me feel like a terrorist’
On his arrest, he said that he was just flying his plane but the police hit him. “They beat me up and then arrested me.”
He remarked that he felt like a terrorist or a wanted criminal. “I kept thinking that I shouldn’t have done this.”
I just want to work for the betterment of the country, he added.

If my help is needed

according to tv news IG has ordered to give him back his plane and has appriciated him for his skills.

If this story is true and he built this single seater for just 90k then he should be permitted to test the flight in a designated area with altitude restrictions.

He could have killed someone on the ground as it was untested machine and he was testing in on a public road in public, he could have easily decapitated someone or killed someone had it gone wrong. Not to mention air space is restricted and he could have put civilian and military planes in serious danger.

It seems us Pakistanis are always looking of excuse for those who break the law, whether it be MNS ="oh he is our 3 time pm" but ignore the fact that he and his family has f..ked our whole country or in case of BBZ = "oh his poor mum was killed and we are been very bad to him" or in his case "oh we are destroying talent etc".
My dear, he was not testing an explosive..but any airplane in an open field. One one was hurt so he can't be arrested ...at max a warning or caution could be issued since he did not do any crime and as far as CAA shit is concerned.... when did CAA announce its regulations to the people..Are these taught in the school or even college?
